Please help us thank everyone who helped save the Lodge. We heard it was a close call. It was touch and go a few times. The fire was very close in multiple locations. Scary close.

We appreciate all the BC Fire Services and supporting crew who saved the majority of the structures in the Fraser Canyon.

We are happy to report the worst damage at the Lodge involved a huge bag of peanuts and rodents. Other wise the old girl...

The old girl is still standing. I do think our prayers and positive collective conscious saved her. Not to mention, as David Lees has captured in the poster below, I am sure, a few of her old friends were with her in spirit.

We sure love this old girl and can not wait to continue in our journey with her, and with all of you in our lives.

Stop by any time as many of you know, Ken loves to give tours.

We just heard from a reliable sorce that the active fire front is past the Lodge. The old girl is safe. Things can change but we do hope the worst of it is over for us, at least.

We are looking forward to our continued restoration. We visited Sandon B.C. in July to learn about restoring our pelton wheel.

The historic Alexandra Lodge is facing severe threat from the active Ainslie Creek and Brunswick Creek complex wildfires. Specialized asset protection, including structural defense equipment, has been deployed to the site as CN Rail utilizes its specialized firefighting train, Poseidon, to suppress flames along vulnerable rail and valley corridors.

This is the most recent update on the fire perimeter. Scary for sure.
