Field Day - what more can we say! We had sun, a nice breeze, minimal black flies and lots of fun!

Thank you to my CCES Alumni that came back to help support Field Day and run the stations! Thank you to the House Team Leaders for guiding your team through the events!

Congratulations to the Red Team, they are our 2026 House Events winner!

Shout out to the CCES Home and School for providing a pizza lunch with drinks! It takes a team to make events like this run smoothly! Thank you so much!

We would like to send a huge shout out to Kent Building Supplies for their generous donation of buckets for our Field Day. These buckets will be used for soooo many activities for the students throughout the year. The best part...they are the Carleton Colors! Thank you so much for your generosity!

We have an exciting week ahead at Carleton and wanted to share a few important details with families.

Grade 5 Celebration
Tuesday, June 23
Doors Open: 1:00 p.m.
Celebration Begins: 1:15 p.m.

We look forward to celebrating our Grade 5 students and this important milestone in their educational journey.

Family Picnic
Thursday, June 25

Students will be dismissed for lunch at 11:30 a.m., aligning with our Primary–Grade 2/3 lunch schedule, so families can enjoy time together during our annual Family Picnic.

We look forward to seeing our students and families at these special events.

Just finished our 2nd year of being a Blue Jays Affliate School. Thank you to the Jays Care Foundation for making these opportunities possible for our students.

FIELD DAY is Thursday! The weather looks like it's going to cooperate (for the most part). It is the most wonderful day of the year!
Students are reminded....
- to wear their house team colors! It is a Color War!!
- to bring sunscreen (I'm being optimistic), bug spray, water bottle and snacks
- to pack a change of clothes - there are two water stations and hey, there is a chance of a slight rain shower....you know that makes the kids just a little more excited!

Pizza Lunch is provided by the Home and School -Thanks so much! If a student does not want pizza, they will have to pack their own lunch on this day!

I can't wait to pass out the retro Field Day Ribbons and take pics of all the fun.

Important Lunch Information for Upcoming School Events

Field Day – Thursday, June 18
Please note that no cafeteria lunch will be served on Field Day. All students will be provided with pizza for lunch as part of the day’s activities.

Family Picnic Day – Thursday, June 25
There have been a few orders placed for this day and families may not have been aware that it is family picnic day. So, If your child requires a school-provided lunch for Family Picnic Day, please contact the school to confirm that they will need a lunch.

Please note that the lunch option for this day will be chili, not the Shepherd’s Pie that was listed on the original ordering form.

June at a Glance

Can you believe we are into the final month of the school year? June is a busy month with field trips, milestones, assessments, and end-of-year fun.

Important Note About Permission Forms:
With class trips on the horizon, permission forms will be heading home in backpacks very soon. Please keep a close eye out for them so we can get them signed and returned quickly.
We owe a bit of a warning to grade 5 families as they will receive additional permission forms as our students gear up for their class trip and visit to MGEC. Thank you in advance for your patience and for keeping those signing pens ready.
