Join Shelley Goodwin for an engaging presentation at the Yarmouth library on things to consider when traveling solo. No matter what type of traveller you are, there is always something to learn as you embark on an adventure. She will discuss:
- Ways to keep yourself safe
- How to keep your valuables secure
- How to remain comfortable as you navigate the globe

Shelley will also talk about things to consider before you book the trip, before you leave home, and as you explore each day. This free presentation is on September 10, 2026 from 6 to 7 pm.

Efficiency Nova Scotia invites you to a welcoming and informal conversation at the library about:
- Home energy
- Rising energy costs
- Ways to make your home more comfortable and affordable to run
- The programs and supports that help bring affordability closer

Whether you rent, own, manage a property or are interested in learning more about home energy, all are welcome! Registration is preferred but feel free to come without signing up. This program is in partnership with Ecology Action Centre.

The Yarmouth library hosts an Adult Board Game Night every other Thursday! The next ones will be on September 3 and 17, 2026 from 5:15 to 7:45 pm.

Adults and teens are invited to hang out and play modern board games. All experience levels are welcome. Games are available but people may bring their own.
