Our Story
The Day Centre is a place for individuals who are experiencing homelessness to access services and have a safe place to be. The Day centre is open from 7:00am-7:00pm and provide multiple services throughout the day such as Laundry, Showers, Meals, access to a caseworker, access to medical services. During the day, clients can play games, access services or watch tv. Clients may be sober or intoxicated to utilize services.
The Sobering Centre is a place for individuals who are intoxicated to sleep off their intoxication. There is a medic who completes an assessment and clears them to sleep. Clients upon arrival are searched and any weapons, drugs or alcohol are confiscated. Clients who do not pass medical are transported to the hospital via taxi or ambulance depending on severity. The sobering centre is open from 10:00am until 8:00am. Curfew is 4:00am. The sobering centre can accommodate 27 individuals both men and women.
