Today, October 4, is National Day of Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Gender Diverse People.

We remember those who have been lost, stand with Survivors, families and communities, and recognize the ongoing need for justice, healing and safety.

🕯️ From 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, the fire at the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls Monument will be lit. The monument provides a sacred space for remembrance, reflection and healing.

❤️ This evening, the domes of the Legislative Assembly will glow red in recognition of this day.

Those wishing to reflect and pay tribute are welcome to visit the monument.

If you are affected by the issue of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and 2SLGBTQI+ people and need emotional support, the national 24/7 crisis line is available at 1-844-413-6649.
