Your local knowledge matters! 💚

The Strathcona Regional District is asking residents of Zeballos to share their experiences and knowledge about local hazards and risks as part of a new Hazard, Risk and Vulnerability Analysis (HRVA).

You know our community best — from areas that may be vulnerable to flooding, wildfire, landslides, storms, road hazards, or other emergencies. Your input can help identify the risks that matter most and guide future emergency preparedness and risk-reduction planning. 🏘️🌲

🎁 Bonus: Everyone who completes the survey will be entered into a draw to win 1 of 10 Emergency Survival Kits, valued at approximately $100 each!

If you're considering running for Mayor or Village Council, the official Notice of Nomination is now available on our website. It outlines eligibility, when nominations open and close, and ways to submit your nomination papers.

Nomination packages are available now from the Village Office during regular business hours (8:30 am-1:00 pm, Monday-Friday or 1:00 pm-4:30 pm by appointment).

What a wonderful way to start the day! 🌞

Walking into work this morning, we were greeted by these heartfelt chalk messages welcoming us with kindness and community spirit. Seeing "Zeballos 2026" and "Thank You" written so thoughtfully truly brought smiles to our faces.

To whoever took the time to create this lovely gesture—thank you. Your thoughtfulness means more than you know and is a beautiful reminder of what makes our community so special.
