Zeballos Parking – MAY 13TH 2026
To help keep our monitored parking lots safe, accessible, and available, the Village will be moving forward with parking permit enforcement starting May 13, 2026.
Our parking lots are intended for the convenience of tourists, visitors, and other users during their short‑term stays—they are not intended for storage of vehicles, trailers, or other items.
With the support of the Strathcona Regional District’s Bylaw Enforcement department, non‑permitted vehicles, trailers, and chattel may be removed from our monitored parking lots starting on May 13th and continuing through the season.
What to expect next week:
Beginning next week, vehicles and trailers without valid permits will receive warning tags. These tags are a courtesy notice to alert owners that enforcement is coming and to allow time to make alternative arrangements.
Why permits matter:
Funds collected through parking permits directly support the ongoing maintenance of these parking facilities and help advance future projects that make our village more welcoming, beautiful, safe, and accessible—from improved infrastructure to enhanced public spaces and amenities for everyone to enjoy.
Community heads‑up:
If you know the owners of any unpermitted vehicles, trailers, or items—especially those who may not access social media—please help spread the word so they’re aware and can take action to avoid unnecessary fees and charges. For vehicles, trailers and items that are removed, the Village will use available resources to let the owner's know how they can be retrieved.
We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and support as we care for shared spaces and improve the experience for residents and visitors alike. If you have questions or need help getting compliant, please reach out to [email protected] or come into the office at 157 Maquinna Ave between 8:30am and 1pm Monday to Friday —we’re happy to help. (Reminder, that we do not monitor this page, so ensure your inquiries go directly to the office)
