Lawaan invites you HOME-not for Christmas- but for the town fiesta.

Growing up, we celebrated our town fiestas with all sorts of decorations and the most common have been the "banderitas" and the flaglets with the MAUPAY NGA PATRON greetings on each of them. Few years ago, we have adopted the installation of fiesta or welcome arcs, purposely located on the atrium of the poblacion barangays. Although some routes have limited vehicular mobility due to temporary traffic restrictions, pedestrians remain welcome to amuse themselves with the arcs dedicatedly decorated for the festivities.

For the 2026 Fiesta, we have once again prepared something relatable for you- UNDER THE SEA. WE HAVE SEEN THAT THEME ALL AROUND now, but the blues and waves will bring you home to SINGKO. And while the colors attract you, looking up could be a better idea as the lanterns call you to a familiar vibe- something that only you can tell!

👀 To all willing attendees of the foam party later, kindly read the following 📝:

1. There is only one designated entrance later. It will be located right of the street directly leading to the LAWAAN PUBLIC MARKET and LAWAAN WHARF. There will be a visible indicator of that point.

2. Entrance will open at 7 PM. All goers (i.e. residents and non-residents of Lawaan) must process their entry there for a stamp.

3. A fee of ONE HUNDRED PESOS shall be charged to all non-resident attendees.

(It dire taga Lawaan nga makadto unina kay mabayad hin kantidad na ONE HUNDRED PESOS)

4. Individuals aged 13 and below are not allowed to enter the perimeters of the foam party venue, but may be allowed outside at the stalls. Parents or guardians with company of the aforementioned individuals shall be denied entry unless these allowed individuals are by themselves.

(Waray poyde sumulod nga na edad hin 13 paubos pero poyde hira didto mag-estar ha gawas kay mayda mga food and drink stalls. It mga kag-anak or bisan hino na may upod na bata nga an edad 13 paubos in dire poyde sumulod.)

5. Bringing of any pointed objects is highly prohibited.

6. No alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are allowed to be brought within the perimeters of the FOAM PARTY VENUE. This is for strict compliance. Otherwise, the offender will be escorted out of the venue.

7. Inebriated individuals are no longer allowed to enter the venue.

8. FOREMOST, PLEASE PARTY RESPONSIBLY. Let’s enjoy and ensure safety on our way HOME.

Good Evening!

We apologize for this short notice, but our supposed event tomorrow which is the PALARONG PAMBATA will be put on hold until December 21. This is due to conflict of schedule with the opening and continuing of the Local Christmas League events which are participated by some of our youth members.

The 𝙎𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙜𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙆𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙖𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝘽𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙮 05 will conduct the following:

👉🏻 𝐏𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐀𝐌𝐁𝐀𝐓𝐀 which will be held on December 20, 2025; and

👉🏻 𝐊𝐊 𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐋𝐘 on December 21, 2025.

Updates on these events will be posted in the coming days.

2025 is nearing its end. Hence, it’s time for us to hold our 2nd KK Assembly for Fiscal Year 2025.

The conduct of the KK Assembly is mandated by DILG. It is held once every six months. This assembly allows youth officials of the barangay to give updates on previous, on-going, and forthcoming activities of the SK. The same avenue enables the accountable officials to present and update financial expenditures incurred in the fiscal year. The SK Members (15-30 years old) may ask series of questions on every presented inputs and outputs of the said body. Moreover, the KK may give their feedback and suggestion to improve the work of the Sangguniang Kabataan.

The KK which consists individuals aged 15-30 years old is invited to join this assembly. For the KK Assembly to push through, the attendance of 1/20 of the KK members of the barangay shall be present. Otherwise, no KK assembly will be conducted.

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay 05 is yet to finalize the date and venue of the said KK Assembly. Within this preparation, the SK is considering different potential conflicts of schedule which may hinder the attendance of the KK members. Hence, the official announcement on the details will be posted on this page next month and invitations will be sent personally by any of the SK Officials a week prior the scheduled KK Assembly.

This is only a heads up.

There could be no greater expression for this milestone but pride as another youth member of the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay 05 has recently joined the roster of successful board exam passers. Our barangay has a new registered nurse in the person of 𝑹𝒉𝒆𝒂 𝑫𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒂 𝑰𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒔𝒐 𝑶𝒑𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒂. She is among the successful takers of the November 2025 Nurses Licensure Exam.

We honor her success and appreciate her unwavering commitment to uphold 𝗛𝗢𝗡𝗢𝗥 and 𝗘𝗫𝗖𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘🌻.

Thank you so much, Ate Rhea, for once again bringing pride to our barangay! Our hearts are overjoyed by your success.

Rhea is currently working as midwife at a public hospital in the Province of Eastern Samar.
