In honor of America's 250th anniversary, 7-year-old Philip Nahornyi, a Ukrainian boy living in Lausanne, Switzerland, completed an incredible 250 pull-ups, earning recognition in the National Register of Records as part of the humanitarian initiative Peace for Children.

As we mark Freedom 250, Philip’s achievement is a moving reminder of the courage, resilience, and determination that inspire people across generations and across borders.

This week, as part of our continued Freedom 250 celebrations, we are highlighting the citizen-soldiers who make our freedom possible. At Lexington and Concord, citizen-soldiers stood together to defend their homes, their communities, and the principles that would shape a new nation. That tradition of citizen service continues today through the men and women of the National Guard, who serve both their communities and their country.
