Kernbestandteil sind die 17 Ziele für nachhaltige Entwicklung (Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs), welche die Millenniumsentwicklungsziele (MDGs) ablösen. Sie sollen zur globalen, nachhaltigen Entwicklung beitragen und menschliches Wohlergehen fördern, ohne dabei natürliche Ressourcen zu übernutzen oder zu zerstören. Durch ihre universelle Gültigkeit nimmt die Agenda 2030 alle Länder in die Vera
ntwortung. Reiche wie arme Länder sind aufgefordert, zur Umsetzung der Ziele beizutragen. Die Agenda 2030 geniesst bei der Schweiz eine hohe Priorität. Sie beteiligte sich während des drei Jahre dauernden internationalen Vorbereitungsprozesses aktiv an der Erarbeitung und Verhandlung der SDGs, eines entsprechenden Finanzierungsrahmenwerks sowie eines griffigen Überprüfungssystems. Die Schweiz ist bereit, zur Umsetzung der Agenda 2030 beizutragen.“
« L’Agenda 2030 de développement durable a été adopté par la communauté internationale en septembre 2015. Il s’articule autour de 17 objectifs de développement durable (ODD) qui remplacent les Objectifs du Millénaire pour le développement (OMD) et visent à contribuer au développement durable mondial et à favoriser le bien-être de l’humanité sans exploiter excessivement ni détruire les ressources naturelles. Par son caractère universel, ce programme implique tous les pays qui, riches comme pauvres, sont invités à contribuer à la réalisation des objectifs. La Suisse accorde une haute priorité à l’Agenda 2030 de développement durable. Durant les trois ans qu’a duré le processus préparatoire international, elle s’est beaucoup investie dans l’élaboration et la négociation des ODD, d’un cadre de financement de ces objectifs et d’un système de suivi efficace. La Suisse est prête à contribuer à la mise en œuvre du programme. »
“L’Agenda 2030 per uno sviluppo sostenibile è stata adottata dalla comunità degli Stati nel settembre 2015. L’agenda, imperniata sui 17 Obiettivi di sviluppo Sostenibile (OSS/SDG, Sustainable Development Goals) subentrati agli Obiettivi di sviluppo del Millennio (OSM/MDG, Millennium Development Goals), vuole favorire lo sviluppo globale improntato alla sostenibilità e promuovere il benessere umano prevenendo l’eccessivo sfruttamento e la distruzione delle risorse naturali. L’Agenda 2030 ha validità universale, il che significa che tutti gli Stati devono assumersi le proprie responsabilità. Paesi ricchi e Paesi poveri sono chiamati a concorrere alla realizzazione degli obiettivi. La Svizzera attribuisce un grado di priorità elevato all’attuazione dell’Agenda 2030: durante la fase internazionale preparatoria durata tre anni ha partecipato attivamente alla definizione e alla negoziazione degli OSS, del relativo quadro di finanziamento e di un sistema di verifica funzionale. La Svizzera è pronta a contribuire all’attuazione dell’Agenda 2030.”
"The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development was adopted by the international community in September 2015. At its heart are 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which replace the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). They are intended to support sustainable development and promote human well-being around the world, without destroying or overexploiting natural resources. The 2030 Agenda is universally applicable and thus holds all countries accountable. Rich and poor alike are called upon to help implement the goals. The 2030 Agenda is a high priority for Switzerland. Indeed, during the three-year international preparatory process, Switzerland played an active part in drafting and negotiating the SDGs, the corresponding financing framework, and an effective monitoring system. Switzerland is ready to contribute to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda."
