𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟏𝟖𝐭𝐡 𝐁𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐒 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬' 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭

It is recalled that Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali (PhD) attended the opening session of the 18th BRICS Leaders' Summit on September 12, 2026. Following the summit session, the Prime Minister joined leaders from various BRICS member and partner states at a gala dinner banquet.

The second day of the summit, held on September 13, 2026, under the theme: "Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability," bringing together heads of state and government from BRICS member and partner countries, as well as leaders of various international institutions. The summit concluded with the adoption of a joint communique, the New Delhi Declaration, which outlines 140 consensus positions.

The BRICS New Delhi Declaration reflects the collective stance of the member states on key global issues, including global governance reform, international and regional peace, sustainable economic growth, and people-to-people exchange.

The declaration reaffirmed the bloc's robust support for Ethiopia’s ongoing accession process to the World Trade Organization (WTO). Furthermore, it expressed strong support for Ethiopia’s candidature as the sole candidate endorsed by the African Union to secure an additional seat on the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Council. The member states also jointly backed Ethiopia’s preparation to host the 32nd United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP32. Additionally, the leaders approved China as the host country for the upcoming 19th BRICS Summit.

On the sidelines of the leaders' summit, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) held fruitful bilateral discussions with heads of state and government from member and partner nations. The high-level talks focused deeply on expanding mutual cooperation across trade, investment, defense collaboration, and digitalization.

Following the official conclusion of the two day BRICS Leaders' Summit, the Prime Minister has returned to Addis Ababa.

On the second morning of the BRICS Summit, I held a bilateral meeting with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan. As we discussed ways to further develop the partnership between our two countries, we agreed to explore opportunities for cooperation in digitalization, business and investment, as well as defense.

‎የኢ.ፌ.ዲ.ሪ ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር ዐቢይ አሕመድ (ዶ/ር) ‎በ18ተኛው የብሪክስ የመሪዎች ጉባኤ ላይ ለመሳተፍ ወደ ሕንድ ኒው ዴልሂ አቅንተው፣ ዛሬ መስከረም 2 ቀን 2019 ዓ.ም ‘‘ጽናትን፣ ፈጠራን፣ ትብብርን እና ዘላቂነትን መገንባት’’ በሚል መሪ ቃል ሲካሄድ በዋለው የመሪዎች ስብሰባ ላይ ተሳትፈዋል።
‎ጉባኤው በመጀመሪያ ቀን ውሎ “አካታች ዓለም አቀፍ አስተዳደር እና ባለ ብዙ ወገን ትብብርን ማጠናከር” በሚል ዓቢይ ጉዳይ ላይ የተወያየ ሲሆን፣ ዓለም አቀፉ አስተዳደር አካታችና ሚዛናዊ የሆነ የሀገራት ተሳትፎ ብሎም ተጠቃሚነትን ሊያረጋግጥ እንደሚገባ ተጠቁሟል።

‎በተያያዘም ከተመሰረት 20ኛ ዓመቱን ያስቆጠረው ይህ ጥምረት በሚቀጥሉት ዓመታት ይበልጥ የተደራጀ፣ ባለብዙ ወገን ትብብሮችን ያጠናከረ፣ ፍትሃዊ፣ አሳታፊና አካታች የሆነ ተጠቃሚነትን የሚያረጋግጥ እንዲሆን ይበልጥ እንደሚሰራ ተመላክቷል።

‎ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር ዐቢይ አሕመድ በጉባኤው ባደረጉት ንግግርም፣ ችግሮች ከመፈጠራቸው አስቀድሞ ጽናትን ማጠናከር እና የአስተዳደር ስርዓት አካል የማድረግን መሰረታዊነት አመላክተው ይህ ጽኑ ስርዓት ግንባታ ኢትዮጵያ በፈታኝ ሁኔታዎች ውስጥ እንድትበረታ እንዳደረጋት ጠቁመዋል።

‎ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር ዐቢይ አክለውም በምግብ ከውጭ ከሚገባ የስንዴ ጥገኝነት ተላቃ ራሷን መቻሏ፣ በጤና ቅድመ መከላከል ፖሊሲ አካል ሆኖ የህክምና ቁሳቁሶችና መድኃኒቶች ማምረትን፣ የዲጂታል ስርዓት ሽግግርንና ደኅንነቱ የተጠበቀ አጠቃቀምን፣ የአኅጉሪቱን የጥናትና ምርምር ብሎም ፈጠራ አዳጊ ፍላጎት ሊያሳካ የሚችል የመደመር ሰው ሰራሽ አስተውሎት ዩኒቨርሲቲ ግንባታን የጠቆሙ ሲሆን፣ ኢትዮጵያ በእነዚህና መሰል የልማት ትብብሮችም ከጥምረቱ አባል ሀገራት ጋር አብሮ ለመስራት ያላትን ተነሳሽነት ገልጸዋል።

‎ከመሪዎቹ ጉባኤ ጎን ለጎን ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትሩ ከአባል ሀገራቱና አጋር ሀገራት መሪዎች ጋር በሁለትዮሽ የሀገራቱ ትብብር ዙሪያ ፍሬያማ ውይይቶችን ያካሄዱ ሲሆን፤ በኢንቨስትመንት፣ ቀጣናዊ ጉዳዩች፣ የቴክኖሎጂ ሽግግር፣ የአቅም ግንባታና ክህሎት፣ ቱሪዝም፣ የማዕድን ልማት እና ወደ ኮፕ 32 በሚደረገው ጉዞ ላይ ሊኖሩ ስለሚችሉ ትብብሮች በጥልቀት ተወያይተዋል።
‎
‎ኢትዮጵያ በሰው ሰራሽ አስተውሎት እና የዲጂታል ስርዓት ማሻሻያ ባካሄደችው አመርቂ ትግበራዎች፣ በታዳሽ ሀይል መስፋፋት እና የኢንዱስትሪ መሠረት ልማቶቿ፣ በግብርና ስርዓት ማሻሻያ እየተመዘገቡ ያሉ የምግብ ሉዓላዊነት መረጋገጥ ብሎም ዓለም አቀፍ ደረጃውን የጠበቀ ግዙፍ የአየር መንገድ ግንባታ የአኅጉራዊና ዓለም አቀፋዊ ንግድ ትሥሥርን ለማስፋፋት በምታደርገው ጥረት በጥምረቱ ለሚነሱ ተያያዥ የውይይት አጀንዳዎች መሪ ተዋናይ እንድትሆን ያስችላታል።
