The Secretary-General of the International Civil Defence Organization (ICDO), Mr. Arguj Kalantarli, held an online meeting with Mr. Luis Alonso Amaya, Director General of Civil Protection, Prevention and Mitigation of Disasters of El Salvador, on 4 September 2026.

They discussed ways to further strengthen practical cooperation between the ICDO and El Salvador, including training, capacity-building, exchanges of expertise, and the ICDO’s broader engagement with El Salvador and countries across the region.
