On 3 September 2026, H.E. Ms. Pratana Disyatat, Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Geneva, delivered a keynote address at the Opening Ceremony of the Youth Empowerment Forum 2026, organized by the Center for Global Dialogue and Leadership (CGDL).
On this occasion, she addressed young leaders from diverse backgrounds and shared her experiences and insights from three decades of diplomatic service and reflected on Thailand’s longstanding engagement in multilateral diplomacy:
- Highlighted the importance of translating discussions in international meeting rooms into tangible improvements in people’s everyday lives.
- Reaffirmed Thailand’s steadfast commitment to multilateralism and highlighted Thailand’s contribution to advancing human dignity and sustainable development.
- Underscored the important role of youth in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) especially in ensuring meaningful youth participation at both national and international levels.
- Proudly shared with the participant that, according to the latest Sustainable Development Solutions Network report on achieving SDG targets, Thailand ranked number 1 in ASEAN, 3rd in Asia, and 43 out of 169 countries that have been surveyed, Ambassador Disyatat encouraged the participants to use their voices and ideas to be SDG champion in their own circle.
