The Open Government Data Office, located at the Federal Statistical Office, is responsible for the implementation of the OGD Master Plan 2024-2027 in close cooperation with the Federal Department of Home Affairs (FDHA). Die beim BFS angesiedelte Geschäftsstelle Open Government Data stellt in enger Zusammenarbeit mit dem Eidgenössischen Departement des Innern (EDI) die operative Führung des Masterplan Open Government Data 2024–2027 (OGD-Masterplan) sicher. Der Masterplan legt die Aktivitäten im OGD-Bereich fest und begleitet das Inkrafttreten des Bundesgesetzes über den Einsatz elektronischer Mittel zur Erfüllung von Behördenaufgaben (EMBAG). Mit der Publikation offener Verwaltungsdaten soll die Transparenz, Partizipation und Innovation in allen gesellschaftlichen Bereichen gefördert werden. Die Geschäftsstelle Open Government Data betreibt opendata.swiss, das zentrale Portal der Schweizer Verwaltung für Open Government Data und hat zum Ziel, Open Government Data der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich zu machen.

Le secrétariat Open Government Data, rattaché à l’OFS, assure la conduite opérationnelle du Masterplan OGD 2024-2027, en étroite collaboration avec le Département fédéral de l’intérieur (DFI). Le Masterplan détermine les activités en matière d’OGD et accompagne l’entrée en vigueur de la loi fédérale sur l’utilisation des moyens électroniques pour l’exécution des tâches des autorités (LMETA). L’objectif poursuivi est de renforcer la transparence, la participation et l’innovation dans tous les domaines de la société en publiant les données des administrations publiques en libre accès. Le secrétariat OGD gère opendata.swiss, le portail central de l'administration publique suisse pour les données publiques ouvertes, et a pour objectif de mettre les OGD à la disposition du public.
