Join us for Session 2 of the Water & WASH Career Days 2026, focused on building resilience during uncertain and challenging moments—both professionally and personally. This session offers practical tools, reflection, and encouragement for navigating complexity in the Water & WASH sector.

🔷 Liza Debevec PhD CPCC ACC – Liza Debevec, PhD is an ICF Certified Professional Co-Active Coach working with clients around the globe to help them expand their careers and lead more fulfilling professional lives. She brings over 20 years of experience across academia, research for development, and policy work, holds a PhD in social anthropology, and has worked across several countries in Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa, including, but not limited to, the water and WASH sector, with a strong focus on gender equality and social inclusion.

🔬👩‍🔬 Today, we honour women and girls in science who are driving positive change in every field, including the rural water sector.

The International Day of Women and Girls in Science highlights why gender equality in science matters: it improves the quality, relevance and impact of scientific work worldwide.

In rural water systems, women are not just users! Women are often the most knowledgeable about local water needs, from testing water quality and managing household supply to leading community water committees and designing practical solutions. But despite their expertise, women remain underrepresented in science and leadership roles around the world.

💪💧 On this day, we celebrate the women pushing boundaries, so rural communities everywhere can benefit from the full range of talent, knowledge, and insight science has to offer.
