L’auteur, Vincent Jendly, photographe, a embarqué à bord de cinq cargos de marine marchande pour éprouver sa relation ambivalente avec l’eau, développée après avoir échappé à la noyade lorsqu’il était enfant. Ici, dans l’univers étrange des grands cargos, la nuit est hostile: dans les ténèbres les plus profondes, quand le temps est couvert et que le bateau disparaît complètement, plus rien ne le distingue de l’eau, et la mer invisible devient encore plus abyssale.

This project consists of a custom-made software that automatically scrapes data from the Plataforma Nacional de Transparencia, a system through which people can request public information from the Mexican government. The software identifies existing requests associated with topics of common interest that were previously denied on the basis of containing information "classified" by authorities. This ever-increasing flow of unanswered civic concerns are organized as an interactive website that aims to register, through labyrinthine hyperlinks, the bureaucratic opacity and strategic silence of the country's administrative institutions.

Este proyecto consiste en un programa computacional que extrae automáticamente información de la Plataforma Nacional de Transparencia, un sistema por medio del cual las personas pueden solicitar información pública en poder de los gobiernos en México.

How does typography behave under extreme conditions? What visual phenomenons, patterns, artifacts, and graphic elements can be provoked by pushing type through extreme grids and using extreme typographic parameters? At what point does a text step back to its original purpose of informing the reader? When does text become something else? To investigate these questions, graphic designer Juliane Nöst systematically pushed text through various grids in the framework of a typographic study.
