🇨🇭 Swiss Quantum Shows Its Strengths to the World

2025 has been declared the International Year of Quantum, and Switzerland is seizing the moment. This October, Swissnex and partners across the Swiss quantum ecosystem hosted Swiss Quantum Week in Geneva, showcasing the country’s leadership in quantum education, research, innovation, and science diplomacy.

A highlight of the week was the Swissnex Quantum Summit on October 13, held at EPFL’s Campus Biotech. More than 100 participants from 16 countries came together to explore how to accelerate quantum technologies from lab to economy and ensure they develop responsibly for society. As Philippe Roesle, CEO of Swissnex in Boston and New York, emphasized, the goal was to unite Switzerland’s world-class ecosystem with global innovation hubs to strengthen the global quantum economy.

Throughout the summit, speakers and participants highlighted the importance of cross-border and cross-sector collaboration. From the Swiss Quantum Commission to leading researchers and start-ups, the event highlighted Switzerland’s blend of scientific excellence and a strong culture of cooperation. Swissnex also launched an updated edition of Switzerland: A Hub for Quantum, mapping 40 key players across the country.

The Global Innovation Summit (GIS) 2026, hosted by Innosuisse, is an international platform designed to foster cross-border collaboration and accelerate innovation. The 2026 edition will focus on innovation in the biotech industry, complemented by enabling technologies and services such as digitalisation, translational R&D, chemistry, manufacturing, and quality control processes.
