The International Cocoa Organization (ICCO) is an inter-governmental organization established in 1973 under the auspices of the UN and operating within the framework of successive International Agreements. This Agenda, an outcome of the First World Cocoa Conference which took place in Abidjan in 2012, is a roadmap set by cocoa stakeholders to achieve a Sustainable Cocoa Economy. We are delighted to announce the signing on the new International Cocoa Agreement 2026 by Madagascar. The Agreement was signed by the Prime Minister, Head of Government, on 27 August 2027, in Antananarivo. Madagascar is the fifth signatory of the Agreement, with Nicaragua, Togo, Côte d’Ivoire, and Democratic Republic of Congo.

The new agreement will enter into force on October, 1st 2026.
