We all have our own monsters inside and they are generally difficult to share, perhaps because we are afraid of leaving them exposed or because of how difficult it can be to accept them as a part of ourselves. One way or another they live inside us and sometimes a single thought reminds us that they are always repressed, as if they would
not belong to us. In a greater or lesser extent in our daily life we all submit our ideas and thoughts to a process that separates what can and can not be shared in order to not offend anyone, respect the rules or simply to maintain good habits. In the construction of our identity and personal development the view of others is so important to us, that we even have phrases like “good people”, “nice people” or “people like us”. At the end, cute or not, good or evil, as one or the other, we all have our own monstrosity, and nothing left suppressed or hidden due to fear of being judged can bring us a positive experience. If in the best case we came to this world to express ourselves and to share what we really are, to find matching people and to experience life in the most authentic and honest way, then what good can come from hiding what we are? Yomonstro is an art collective that aims to generate spaces and contexts where people can interact with their own monstrosity in a creative way. We believe that by interacting more with our own monsters we can incorporate repressed aspects that otherwise would only limit the experience of who we really are. We use recycling materials as a source that embodies the path of transformation that we must walk through in order to integrate our own polarities. The demonsterations are activities in which we can share the monsters inside us with others, without being afraid of being judged, in a context of interaction that remains open to experimentation and reflection. All those involved become Monsterologists, people who believe in the value of sharing ourselves in a more direct and authentic way, encouraging each other to say what we want and share what we do. By this, we are creating a network of people who are committed to a world where it's possible to fully share what we really are. Todos tenemos nuestros propios monstruos, y por lo general son difíciles de compartir, quizás por miedo a dejarlos al descubierto o por lo difícil que puede ser aceptarlos con uno mismo. De una forma u otra habitan nuestro interior y a veces un solo pensamiento nos recuerdan que siempre están ahí reprimidos como si no nos pertenecieran. En nuestra vida cotidiana todos sometemos en mayor o menor medida nuestras ideas y pensamientos a un proceso que separa lo que se puede compartir y lo que no , generalmente en post de no ofender a nadie , respetar las normas o simplemente mantener las buenas costumbres. En la construcción de nuestra identidad y el desarrollo personal resulta tan valiosa la mirada ajena que tenemos frases hechas como ¨ gente bien ¨, gente linda o gente como uno. Al final , lindo o no , de bien o de mal, como uno o como el otro, todos tenemos nuestra propia monstruosidad, y nada que quede suprimido o escondido por el miedo a ser juzgado puede traernos una experiencia positiva. Si en el mejor de los casos vinimos a este mundo a expresarnos y compartir lo que realmente somos , encontrar personas afines y experimentar la vida de la forma más autentica y honesta que podamos ¿de que nos sirve esconder lo que somos? Yomonstro es un colectivo artístico que propone generar espacios y contextos donde las personas puedan interactuar con su monstruosidad de manera creativa. Creemos que al relacionarnos mas con nuestros propios monstruos integramos aspectos que al dejarlos reprimidos solo limitan la experiencia de lo que realmente somos. A través de proyectos interactivos abiertos y de co creación colectiva , invitamos a todos a Demonstrarse. Utilizamos material de reciclaje como un medio que representa el camino de transformación que tenemos que vivir en función de integrar nuestras propias polaridades. Las Demonstraciones son actividades en las que podemos compartir el monstruo con los demás sin miedo a ser juzgado , en un contexto de interacción abierto a la experimentación y la reflexión. Todos quienes participan se convierten en Monstrólogos , personas que creen en el valor de compartirnos de una forma mas autentica y directa, animándonos a decir lo que queremos y compartir lo que hacemos , creando así una red de personas que apostamos por un mundo donde se pueda compartir en su totalidad lo que realmente somos. Wir alle haben unsere eigenen Monster in uns, die wir in der Regel anderen schlecht zugänglich machen können, vielleicht aus Angst, sie zu offenbaren oder weil es schwierig sein kann, sie als einen Teil von uns selbst zu akzeptieren. Auf die eine oder andere Weise leben sie aber in unserem Inneren und ab und zu erinnert uns ein flüchtiger Gedanke daran, dass sie - obwohl verdrängt, als ob sie uns nicht gehören würden - immer in uns weilen. In unserem alltäglichen Leben unterliegen unsere Ideen und Gedanken in unterschiedlich starkem Maße einem Prozess, der trennt zwischen dem was geteilt oder nicht geteilt, geäußert oder nicht geäußert werden kann. Dies in der Regel um niemanden zu beleidigen, die Normen zu respektieren oder einfach um den Anstand zu bewahren.Bei der Konstruktion unserer Identität und persönlicher Entwicklung ist uns die Sichtweise anderer so wichtig, dass es sogar vorgefertigte Redewendungen wie "anständige Leute", "schöne Menschen" oder "Leute wie wir" gibt. Letztendlich haben wir alle - schön oder nicht, gut oder böse, der Eine wie der Andere -unsere eigene Monstrosität, und nichts was unterdrückt oder aus Angst beurteilt zu werden versteckt bleibt, kann uns eine positive Erfahrung bringen. Wenn wir im besten Fall auf diese Welt gekommen sind, um uns zu äußern und um das zu teilen, was wir wirklich sind, um Gleichgesinnte zu finden und um unser Leben auf authentische und ehrliche Art und Weise zu erleben: Was bringt es uns, zu verstecken was wirklich in uns steckt? Yomonstro ist ein Künstlerkollektiv, das Räume und Kontexte schaffen möchte, in denen die Menschen mit ihrer Monstrosität kreativ interagieren können. Wir glauben, dass wir, wenn wir mit unseren eigenen Monstern in Beziehung treten, in der Lage sind, verdrängte Aspekte zu integrieren, die andernfalls der Erfahrung dessen, was wir wirklich sind, Grenzen setzen. Durch offene Interaktions- sowie kollektiven Ko-Kreationsprojekten, laden wir jeden dazu ein, sich zu Demonsterieren. Wir verwenden Recyclingmaterial als Medium, das den Weg der Transformation darstellt, den wir beschreiten müssen, um unsere eigenen Polaritäten zu integrieren. Die Demonsterationen sind Aktivitäten, in denen wir unsere Monster - ohne Furcht, beurteilt zu werden - mit anderen teilen können, in einem für Experimente und Reflexionen offenen Kontext. Alle Beteiligten werden zu Monsterologen: Leute, die vom Wert überzeugt sind, sich authentischer und direkter zu erleben, die sich gegenseitig ermutigen das auszusprechen, was sie wollen und das zu teilen, was sie tun. Auf diese Weise entsteht ein Netzwerk an Menschen, die eine Welt anstreben, in der wir in Gänze ausleben können, was wir wirklich sind.
