🏛️ Capacity building: NASLA is training Mbonge Local Council staff on "budget ex*****on and accounting for local authorities"
🎓 Since Monday 25 May 2026, the National School of Local Administration (NASLA) has been hosting staff from the Mbonge Local Council, for a capacity-building seminar on the theme:
📝 "Budget ex*****on, operations and accounting in Regional and Local Authorities".
📅 Scheduled for 25–29 May 2026, this Specific Training course aims at strengthening participants’ skills in budget management, financial ex*****on and accounting for Regional and Local Authorities (RLAs), in line with the reforms currently in force in the local finance sector. 💼📊
📖 The seminar covers five main modules, notably:
🔹 Preparation of the Performance- based budget;
🔹 Budget ex*****on;
🔹 Accounting in Regional Local Authorities;
🔹 The Authorising Officer’s administrative account;
🔹 The Municipal Treasurer’s management account.
⚖️ This initiative falls within the framework of reforms governed by several regulatory texts, including the Decree of 17 June 2021 establishing a new budgetary nomenclature for RLAs, the 2024 Finance Act, and the circulars relating to the preparation and ex*****on of budgets for Regional and Local Authorities. 📑
