Cameroon Biosecurity Project UNEP/ GEF Project on the Development and Institution of a Monitoring and Control System for Living

The Project:
• Proposes a consolidated legislative or institutional frameworks for the management of Invasive Alien Species (IAS) and Living Modified Organisms (LMOs) as cross thematic issues in Cameroon.
• Seeks to redress the wanton or fragmented infrastructure with the putting in place of an effective and coordinated mechanism involving key government agencies.
• Seeks to address insufficiencie

s in the capacity for a risk-based approach to biosecurity management.
