First Roundtable 'Transport and Logistics of the SCO' Held in Dushanbe

On October 21, 2026, in Dushanbe, on the sidelines of the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government (Prime Ministers) of the Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the first roundtable "SCO Transport and Logistics" was held.

The event was organized on the initiative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the SCO Business Council. Within the framework of the roundtable, the first expanded meeting of two working groups of the SCO Business Council - on transport and logistics and on agriculture – also took place.

Deputy Minister of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan Shoista Saidmurodzoda and First Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan Nasimjon Anvarov delivered welcoming remarks.

More than 60 people took part in the roundtable, including members of the working groups of the SCO Business Council, a representative of the SCO Secretariat, heads and staff of relevant ministries, agencies and chambers of commerce and industry, experts and industry specialists, as well as representatives of diplomatic missions of SCO Member States accredited in Tajikistan.

The participants held discussions on current issues of expanding multilateral cooperation in the field of transport, developing international transport corridors, improving the conditions for road transport, and strengthening agrologistics. Particular attention was paid to compliance with phytosanitary requirements, the development of refrigerated transport, temperature conditions for delivery, and the introduction of digital platforms for cross-border trade in food products.

The parties emphasized the importance of developing transport and logistics infrastructure and strengthening coordination to expand mutual trade and increase exports of agricultural products.

This event will serve to further strengthen practical interaction between the business community and government structures of the Organization within the framework of the relevant working groups of the SCO Business Council.

О первом круглом столе «Транспорт и логистика ШОС»

21 октября 2026 года в г.Душанбе «на полях» заседания Совета глав правительств (премьер-министров) государств-членов Шанхайской организации сотрудничества состоялся первый круглый стол «Транспорт и логистика ШОС».
Мероприятие было организовано по инициативе Торгово-промышленной палаты и Министерства транспорта Республики Таджикистан при поддержке Правительства Республики Таджикистан и Делового совета ШОС. В рамках круглого стола прошло первое расширенное заседание двух рабочих групп Делового совета ШОС - по транспорту и логистике и по сельскому хозяйству.

С приветственными словами к участникам обратились заместитель Министра транспорта Республики Таджикистан Шоиста Саидмуродзода и первый заместитель председателя Торгово-промышленной палаты Республики Таджикистан Насимджон Анваров.

В работе круглого стола приняли участие более 60 человек, включая членов рабочих групп Делового совета ШОС, представителя Секретариата Организации, руководителей и сотрудников профильных министерств, ведомств и торгово-промышленных палат, экспертов и специалистов отрасли, а также представителей дипломатических миссий государств-членов ШОС, аккредитованных в Таджикистане.

Состоялось обсуждение актуальных вопросов расширения многостороннего сотрудничества в сфере транспорта, развития международных транспортных коридоров, совершенствования условий автомобильных перевозок, а также укрепления агрологистики. Особое внимание было уделено соблюдению фитосанитарных требований, развитию рефрижераторных перевозок, температурных режимов доставки и внедрению цифровых платформ для трансграничной торговли продовольственными товарами.

Стороны подчеркнули важность развития транспортно-логистической инфраструктуры и укрепления координации для расширения взаимной торговли и наращивания экспорта сельскохозяйственной продукции.

Данное мероприятие послужит дальнейшему укреплению практического взаимодействия между деловыми кругами и государственными структурами Организации в рамках профильных рабочих групп Делового совета ШОС.

Traditions and culture of SCO countries met in the capital of porcelain

Today, October 22, the 23rd China International Ceramic Expo concluded in the city of Jingdezhen. The exhibition ran from October 18 to October 22, 2026.

For the first time, the "SCO Window" pavilion was presented at the event, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Organization. In one space, traditions, craftsmanship and cultural heritage of the SCO member states came together.

Meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the SCO Member States Held in Dushanbe

On 20 October 2026, the 25th meeting of the Council of Heads of Government (Prime Ministers) of the Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) was held in Dushanbe under the chairmanship of Tajikistan.

The heads of delegations were received by President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

The restricted-format meeting was attended by: Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Turchin; Minister of Defence of the Republic of India Rajnath Singh; First Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Reza Aref; Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov; Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Qiang; First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Amangeldiev; Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mohammad Ishaq Dar; Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin; Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda; Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov; SCO Secretary General Nurlan Yermekbayev; and Director of the Executive Committee of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (RATS) Ularbek Sharsheev.

The participants held an in-depth exchange of views on the directions of transformation of the global economic architecture. The heads of delegations undertook a substantive review of the prospects for strengthening the SCO's economic dimension, paying particular attention to the practical aspects of cooperation and to enhancing the Organisation's effectiveness in light of current challenges.

The meeting of the delegations of the Organisation's member states in an expanded format was attended by the heads of government of Mongolia and Turkmenistan, the Secretary General and the Director of the RATS SCO Executive Committee, as well as representatives of the SCO Business Council and the SCO Interbank Consortium. The participants discussed current priorities of the trade, economic and cultural-humanitarian agenda, including through the use of the potential of international partners.

Addressing the meeting, SCO Secretary General Nurlan Yermekbayev reviewed the outcomes of the Bishkek Summit (1 September of this year) in the context of the economic agenda. It was emphasised that concrete agreements have already been reached in a number of priority areas. It was noted, in particular, that the establishment of the SCO Development Bank is intended to broaden opportunities for identifying and financing promising multilateral projects.

Nurlan Yermekbayev also stressed the need to improve the effectiveness of the SCO's specialised mechanisms, on which the efficiency of the Organisation's work depends.

The meeting heard reports by authorised representatives on the activities of the Business Council and the Interbank Consortium of the SCO for 2025–2026.

The heads of government of the SCO member states adopted a Joint Communiqué and signed a number of decisions, including on the implementation of the Programme of Multilateral Trade and Economic Cooperation and on the development of cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including industry and transport. The Organisation's budget for 2027 was approved.

The chairmanship of the Council of Heads of Government passed to the Republic of Uzbekistan, and it was agreed that the next meeting will be held in that country in 2027.

Following the meeting, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda and SCO Secretary General Nurlan Yermekbayev briefed representatives of national and foreign media on its results.

О заседании Совета глав правительств государств-членов ШОС

20 октября 2026 г. в Душанбе под председательством таджикской стороны состоялось 25-е заседание Совета глав правительств (премьер-министров) государств-членов Шанхайской организации сотрудничества.

Главы делегаций были приняты Президентом Республики Таджикистан Эмомали Рахмоном.

В мероприятии в «узком составе» приняли участие Премьер-министр Республики Беларусь Александр Турчин, Министр обороны Республики Индии Раджнатх Сингх, Первый вице-президент Исламской Республики Иран Мохаммад Реза Ареф, Премьер-министр Республики Казахстан Олжас Бектенов, Премьер Государственного совета Китайской Народной Республики Ли Цян, Первый заместитель Председателя Кабинета Министров Кыргызской Республики Данияр Амангельдиев, Заместитель Премьер-министра, Министр иностранных дел Исламской Республики Пакистан Мохаммад Исхак Дар, Председатель Правительства Российской Федерации Михаил Мишустин, Премьер-министр Республики Таджикистан Кохир Расулзода, Премьер-министр Республики Узбекистан Абдулла Арипов, Генеральный секретарь ШОС Нурлан Ермекбаев и Директор Исполнительного комитета Региональной антитеррористической структуры ШОС Уларбек Шаршеев.

Состоялся углубленный обмен мнениями относительно векторов трансформации мировой экономической архитектуры. Главы делегаций предметно рассмотрели перспективы наращивания экономической составляющей ШОС, уделив особое внимание практическим аспектам сотрудничества и вопросам повышения эффективности работы Организации в свете текущих вызовов.

Заседание делегаций государств-членов Организации в расширенном составе прошло с участием руководителей правительств Монголии и Туркменистана, Генерального секретаря и Директора Исполнительного комитета РАТС ШОС, а также Делового совета и Совета Межбанковского объединения ШОС. Участники обсудили актуальные направления торгово-экономической и культурно-гуманитарной повестки дня, в том числе с использованием потенциала международных партнеров.

Выступая на мероприятии, Генсекретарь ШОС Нурлан Ермекбаев отметил итоги Бишкекского саммита (1 сентября с.г.) в контексте экономической повестки дня. Было подчеркнуто, что по ряду приоритетных векторов уже достигнуты конкретные договорённости. Отмечено, в частности, что создание Банка развития ШОС призвано расширить возможности поиска и финансирования перспективных многосторонних проектов.

Нурлан Ермекбаев также акцентировал необходимость повышения результативности профильных механизмов ШОС, от которых зависит эффективность деятельности объединения.

В ходе встречи заслушаны доклады уполномоченных представителей о деятельности Делового совета и Межбанковского объединения ШОС за 2025-2026 годы.

Главами правительств государств-членов ШОС принято Совместное коммюнике, подписан ряд решений, в том числе касающихся реализации Программы многостороннего торгово-экономического сотрудничества, развития взаимодействия в областях, представляющих взаимный интерес, в том числе в сферах промышленности и транспорта. Утвержден бюджет Организации на 2027 год.

Председательство в Совете глав правительств перешло к Республике Узбекистан. Достигнута договоренность о том, что следующее заседание состоится в этой стране в 2027 году.

По итогам встречи Премьер-министр Таджикистана Кохир Расулзода и Генеральный секретарь ШОС Нурлан Ермекбаев ознакомили представителей национальных и зарубежных СМИ с ее результатами.
