On November 23, 2010, Shanghai Municipal People's Government and Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) formally signed the Memorandum of Cooperation on the World Expo Museum in Paris, France, which defined the World Expo Museum as the only official museum and authorized Documentation Centre of BIE. During their visit to Shanghai to sign a memorandum of cooperation with the World Expo Museum, the director and advisors of Expo 2027 Belgrade intensively studied the experience of Expo 2010 Shanghai in post-Expo venue reuse and the functional transformation of the Expo site, providing reference for Expo 2027 Belgrade’s “100% legacy transformation” plan.
