Here is my latest poem dedicated to Mr. Zhou, a man with a heart of gold.

Ode to Mr. Zhou

In the northern winds of Liaoning’s sky,
Where Fushun’s rivers wander by,
There lives a man named Robin Zhou,
A man with principles and heart aglow.
A servant true of public grace,
Whose kindness warms both time and place,
Not through riches, fame, or art,
But through the goodness of his heart.
He brought me back to years gone by,
To my younger days beneath China’s sky,
From 2010 to 2012’s light,
When seeds of hope abounded day and night.
Those were the years I first arrived,
A foreign soul, uncertain, wide-eyed,
Yet Chinese friends along the way,
Turned lonely nights into brighter days.
And Mr. Zhou, through tireless deeds,
Refreshed old memories I forgot indeed,
He re-taught me what I once knew:
That kindness here, still deep and true.
That China’s people still remain,
With hearts untouched by pride or gain,
That warmth still lives in every smile,
Across each city, town, and mile.
He helped me see with brighter eyes,
That dreams in China still can arise,
That seeds once planted years ago,
Still can bloom beneath its glow.
That China is where dreams are not denied,
Where faith and effort still abide,
Where years to come may gently show,
A life fulfilled — thanks, Mr. Zhou.

Her favorite place in Fushun city, China's northeatern Liaoning province. People here are much like Filipinos in terms of taste of food, and temperament. Pretty interesting cultural similarity - similarity I am going to study and explore in details in the years to come. My name is Rhio Zablan.
