“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you ” (Matthew 11:28). To those who have accepted the invitation, “ to Jesus,” these pages are addressed. You felt you were among those who “labour and are heavy laden.” You obeyed the gracious call of and experienced the truth of His promise, “I will give you rest.” The hand of your faith has grasped the hand of His , which was so long stretched out to you. You hope that your sins are , that your heart is changed, and that you are indeed “a member of Christ, a of , and an inheritor of the kingdom of heaven.” Thus, by a personal act of faith, you have “come to Jesus.” Seek the aid of the while you ponder the friendly counsels of this book, which is written with the earnest prayer that all who read it may not only “COME TO JESUS,” but may also “FOLLOW JESUS.”
