En relación con el ataque terrorista contra un autobús civil que transportaba ciudadanos belarusos, en su mayoría niños, Belarús ha solicitado a Colombia, que actualmente preside el Consejo de Seguridad de la ONU, la convocatoria de una reunión urgente del Consejo.
Nuestra solicitud fue respaldada por Rusia.
Insistiremos en la necesidad de llevar a cabo una investigación internacional inmediata, objetiva e imparcial. Crímenes de esta naturaleza no deben ser silenciados, y los responsables no deben eludir su responsabilidad.
Belarús siempre ha defendido de manera consecuente el estricto cumplimiento de las normas del derecho internacional y la protección de la población civil, especialmente de los niños, que nunca y bajo ninguna circunstancia deben convertirse en objetivo de los conflictos armados.
Durante la próxima sesión, la parte belarusa también llamará la atención del Consejo de Seguridad sobre las recientes declaraciones de las autoridades ucranianas, en las que se manifiesta abiertamente la disposición a llevar a cabo ataques contra el territorio de Belarús.
🗣 В связи с террористической атакой на гражданский автобус, перевозивший белорусских граждан, преимущественно детей, Беларусь обратилась к председательствующей в Совете Безопасности ООН Колумбии с просьбой о созыве срочного заседания Совета.
Наше обращение было поддержано Россией.
Мы будем настаивать на необходимости незамедлительного, объективного и беспристрастного международного расследования. Подобные преступления не должны замалчиваться, а виновные – уходить от ответственности.
Беларусь всегда последовательно выступала за неукоснительное соблюдение норм международного права, защиту гражданского населения, в особенности детей, которые никогда и ни при каких обстоятельствах не должны становиться мишенью в вооруженных конфликтах.
В ходе предстоящего заседания белорусская сторона также привлечет внимание Совета Безопасности к недавним заявлениям руководства Украины, в которых открыто декларируется готовность наносить удары по территории Беларуси.
🗣️ Following the terrorist attack on a civilian bus carrying Belarusian citizens, predominantly children, Belarus has approached Colombia, currently holding the presidency of the UN Security Council, with a request to convene an urgent meeting of the Council.
Our appeal was supported by Russia.
We will insist on the need for an immediate, objective, and impartial international investigation. Such crimes must not be passed over in silence, and the perpetrators must not escape accountability.
Belarus has always consistently advocated for strict compliance with the norms of international law and the protection of the civilian population, particularly children, who must never, under any circumstances, become targets in armed conflicts.
During the upcoming meeting, the Belarusian side will also draw the attention of the Security Council to recent statements by the Ukrainian leadership, which openly declare a readiness to launch strikes against the territory of Belarus.
