07.09.2026|| BUSINESS TAXATION FORUM and BUSINESS PERMIT APPLICATION SEMINAR
The Negosyo Center La Trinidad successfully conducted the Business Taxation Forum and Business Permit Application Seminar, bringing together current and aspiring entrepreneurs, MSMEs, and members of the business community for an informative learning session on taxation, business registration, and the permitting process.
The morning sessions were facilitated by resource speakers from the Bureau of Internal Revenue โ Revenue District Office 09, who discussed the different types of business taxes, tax obligations of MSMEs, tax computation, common filing mistakes, online tax filing procedures, and the use of the BIR's Online Registration and Update System (ORUS). These topics equipped participants with practical knowledge to help them comply with tax regulations and efficiently manage their businesses.
In the afternoon, representatives from the different municipal offices provided comprehensive discussions on the requirements and procedures involved in securing business permits and licenses. Participants also gained valuable insights from the Business Permit and Licensing Office, Office of the Building Official, MPDOโZoning Section, Treasury Office, Municipal Health and Services Office, and the Municipal Fire Station, emphasizing the importance of inter-agency coordination in creating a business-friendly environment.
Unfortunately, during the discussion of Ms. Kyra Camille L. Lamsis of the Municipal Health and Services Office, a magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck the northern part of the Philippines. In consideration of everyone's safety and following the advice of the concerned authorities, the activity was concluded earlier than scheduled. Consequently, the Open Forum and Question-and-Answer session, which would have allowed participants to directly raise their concerns with the resource speakers, was no longer conducted.
Despite the unexpected interruption, the facilitators assured the participants that their questions and concerns will still be accommodated. Participants are encouraged to send their inquiries through the Negosyo Center La Trinidad and Kapangan page, where all concerns will be consolidated and endorsed to the appropriate. The corresponding responses will then be communicated back to the participants to ensure that no concern goes unanswered.
Participants are likewise informed that their Certificates of Participation are now available and may be claimed at the Negosyo Center La Trinidad during regular office hours.
The Negosyo Center La Trinidad extends its heartfelt gratitude to all the resource speakers from the Bureau of Internal Revenue and the various municipal offices for sharing their expertise and valuable time.
