World Turtle Day - 23 of May 🐢

Did you know that only 1 in 1,000 sea turtle hatchlings will make it to maturity? 🌊💔

While natural predators account for the initial gauntlet, human interference is what makes the odds nearly impossible today.

Between 100% nest poaching rates in unprotected zones, black-market egg trafficking camouflaged by weak laws, and massive industrial port developments destroying critical nesting beaches, sea turtles are fighting a losing battle against human greed.

This World Turtle Day, let’s acknowledge the raw facts.
Turtles don’t just need our admiration-they need real protection, strict policy enforcement, and an end to the illegal trade. 🐢💪🏼

Did you know that our ultimate goal is to always release animals back into the wild? 🐒

That’s what happened with our Tarzan! After being checked up by our vet team, he was ready to be free. Thanks to our partners like , with whom we work a lot, he was successfully out back into nature.

Team work makes the dream work ✨

What can volunteers expect when they come to work with us❓

Volunteers are an essential part of the rescue process. Their daily tasks include food preparation, cleaning, observations, enrichment, and supporting the vet and rehab teams.

Wildlife rescue centers ultimate goal is always to release animals back into the nature, because wildlife should stay wild. Too much human interaction can negatively animal behavior, stress levels and chances of returning to freedom.

At our Center, our goal is the rehabilitation and release of animals, not direct handling/contact with wildlife.

Wildlife should stay wild, and too much human interaction can negatively affect their behavior, stress levels, and chances of returning to freedom.

If you’d like to help us promoting ethical wildlife conservation, reach out to us and become a volunteer at our center 🦥💚

Rescue doesn’t wait for the perfect moment… it happens in the dark, in the unknown.

Last night, we welcomed this baby porcupine.
Fragile, strong, and needing urgent diagnostics like X-rays.

Now she needs something special… a name 💛
Comment your ideas—we want you to be part of her story.
