An unforgettable night at St James’s Palace! 🇬🇧🇷🇸

The Head of Serbia Creates team and Director of Ložionica, Ana Ilić , was truly honored to have been welcomed by His Majesty King Charles III alongside creative leaders and partners from the Western Balkans and the UK. What an inspiring prelude to the Western Balkans Leaders Summit in London!

This reception was a powerful celebration of the talent and innovation driving our region's rapidly growing creative sector. It powerfully underscored the vital importance of the UK's continued partnership with the Western Balkans in promoting culture for sustainable development.

We are incredibly proud that Serbia's creative industries are thriving and growing stronger every single day, especially following the successful launch of Ložionica

A thriving creative sector doesn’t happen in isolation, but through meaningful connections.

🎯 „Networking in empowering the creative sector for me means creating sustainable connections among artists, institutions, and industries in order to exchange knowledge, ideas, and resources. Through collaboration and joint projects, creators can increase the visibility of their work, find new sources of funding, and access broader markets, thereby strengthening the entire ecosystem of creative activities.” - Mario Milanović, Senior Advisor for International Cooperation and Projects, City of Banja Luka

🫂 Why does networking matter so much for creatives - visibility, collaboration or access to new opportunities?

For .ci , it’s the foundation for growth. Connecting organizations, professionals, and institutions locally, regionally, and internationally enables the exchange of knowledge, resources, and experiences.

„Through networks like the Regional Creative Network of the Western Balkans, creative professionals can gain access to collaborative projects, co-productions, mentorship, and new markets—especially important for smaller organizations like UMPAKI members and individuals who may lack visibility or capacity on their own. In this way, networking not only helps individuals and organizations, but also contributes to the economic and social development of the region, creating a more resilient, innovative, and visible creative ecosystem.” - Elena Bojadjieva Cvetkovska, Creative Producer and Consultant at UMPAKI
