⬆️ In Venezuela, Trump’s Donroe Doctrine has only brought instability and protection of U.S. interests, sabotaging solidarity with Cuba. In Cuba, it means the enforcement of the U.S. blockade.

Today, Cuba opened its schools to over 1.4 million students, despite Trump and Rubio’s oil blockade of the island.

The school year ended early in June as the fuel blockade caused extreme difficulty. Hardships continue in the new year as U.S. policy means Cuban children can’t get uniforms. They don’t have guaranteed meals at school. Their teachers have to manage classrooms with limited resources amid 20+ hour blackouts.

As Cuban Americans, we say: end this injustice. Let the Cuban people live without the pressure of economic warfare, and end the blockade!
