🇬🇧 This Sunday at Saint Andrew’s - Battle of Britain Service

Please note: this week our service starts earlier than usual, at 9:00am.

We’ll be gathering in the church car park for a special Battle of Britain Service, taking time to remember, reflect and give thanks for those who served and sacrificed.

⏰ 9:00am
📍 Church car park
⏳ Approximately 30–45 minutes
👕 Dress: Civvies or normal working dress

Families are very welcome, although please note that there will be no Sunday School provision this week.

☕ Refreshments will be served afterwards, so there’ll be plenty of opportunity to stay, chat and enjoy some fellowship together.

Whether you’re a regular at Saint Andrew’s or joining us for the first time, you are very welcome.

We look forward to seeing you as we gather together in remembrance, gratitude and hope.

We will remember. 🇬🇧

🌿 VISION SUNDAY 🌿

This Sunday at Saint Andrew’s will be a little different, and we’d love for you to be part of it!

We’ll be coming together as a church family to pray, talk and dream about the future of Saint Andrew’s, sharing ideas and exploring where we feel God is leading us as a church.

And there’s some exciting news for our younger members too… 🎉

🧒 KIDS SUNDAY CLUB IS STARTING!
Our new Sunday Club begins this week for children aged 3+. We’re really excited to be starting this new part of church life and welcoming our children into it.

Then, from 12pm, we’ll gather for a bring & share lunch, with lunch starting at 12:30pm. 🍽️

If you’d like to join us, please comment below with how many people will be attending and what you’re bringing.

If you’d rather, you can email Georgia at [email protected].

Whether you’re a regular, new to Saint Andrew’s, or haven’t been along for a while, you’re very welcome.

Come and be part of the conversation, the prayer, the food and the fellowship as we look towards the future together.

We’d love to see you!

Our Cyprus pilgrimage is complete. We began in February near Salamis, where Barnabas (who was from Cyprus) came back to the island with the apostle Paul, who was embarking on his first missionary journey. Paul and Barnabas then travelled across the island to Paphos. This has been our journey, around 170 miles, and yesterday we finished with a walk to St. Paul’s Pillar, where tradition has it that Paul was tied and flogged 39 times.
We were joined yesterday by most of the friends who have shared in our journey at some point, plus a couple of new faces. It has been wonderful to share the journey with others, praying and reflecting together, sharing fellowship and enjoying lots of laughter on the way.

Please consider, if you haven’t done so already, supporting one (or both) of our chosen charities (Scotty’s Little Soldiers and Macmillan Cancer Support). Thank you for the donations already made.

Our Cyprus Pilgrimage, following in the footsteps of St. Paul, from Salamis to Paphos, will finish on Saturday. We began in February and will have walked about 170 miles by the end of our journey.
On Saturday we will return to a seaside taverna, close to Paphos Airport, and walk about 12 miles to our final destination, St. Paul’s Pillar in Paphos.

Cyprus Pilgrimage: Pissouri village to Paphos Airport (17 miles)

An epic walk yesterday, for which we were joined by Frances. Starting in Pissouri, we descended down the Genesis Aphrodite Trail to the coastline, enjoying beautiful views of the sea and the landscape. We then proceeded towards Aphrodite’s Rock. After a brief rest we continued along the coast before heading inland towards Kouklia, which is where the ancient city of Palaipafos was once located. From there we went back towards the coast, following a series of tracks to the village of Mandria. Finally, we reached the shoreline, stopping near the entrance road into Paphos Airport.

On 6th June we will complete the Salamis to Paphos pilgrimage with our last walk from the airport to St. Paul’s Pillar.
