Book Donation Collection Points ✨📚

This September, our Charity Book Fair, Book Me on a Sunset Vol.4 is back!
All proceeds will support the initiative 'For a better world', supporting children and families in need.

Until then, we’re setting up collection points in different cities so you can easily donate your second-hand books in good condition.

We are excited to share that Books on Wheels will be part of Fengaros Festival this year for our very first live episode of our podcast and last of the season.

Together with Celeste, I'll be hosting three incredible guests whose work celebrates books in very different ways:

1. Marina Yeralis (), a remarkable bookbinder handcrafting beautiful books in Cyprus.
2. Christina Metaxa (), founder of Chez Nous Society, a library, bookshop, and workshop space for writers, book lovers, and creatives from diverse backgrounds.
3. Christoforos Demetriou (), a captivating storyteller and author of comics and short stories.

Join us on Saturday, 1st August at 19:00 at Petrides Farm Park for an evening of conversation, stories, and all things books. We'd love to have you with us for this special live recording.

Our Summer Book Retreat 2026 brought together 15 bookworms, each carrying their own story, their own life chapter, and the books that have accompanied them along the way. What unfolded over the weekend was much more than a retreat about reading. It became a space where some people arrived as strangers and everyone left feeling a little more understood, a little more connected, and a little more at home.

Each bookworm shared the story behind their book selection; why it mattered, how it shaped them, and what it stirred inside them. Through these conversations, we discovered pieces of ourselves in one another. Some stories made us laugh. Others brought tears to our eyes. All of them reminded us of the power books have to connect human beings.

We welcomed each day together, spent quiet hours reading side by side, created with our hands, breathed deeply, walked barefoot on the earth, listened to nature, watched the sunset with gratitude and gathered around tables for meals and conversations that lingered long after the plates were cleared.

There was no rush. No pressure to be anything other than ourselves.
Just books, meaningful conversations, shared moments, and the simple joy of being present.

As I look back on this retreat, I feel immense gratitude for every person who trusted us with their time, their stories, and their hearts. Cybookworms has never been just about books. It is about creating a space where people feel seen and safe, where stories become bridges, and where community reminds us that we were never meant to journey through life alone.

“You need to promote your book.”
We’ve all heard that advice.

But yesterday we discovered something even more important: you don’t need to become a salesperson. You need to become a storyteller. Your readers aren’t waiting for another “Buy my book” post. They’re waiting to meet the person behind the pages: to hear why you wrote it, what you’ve learned, what inspired you, and the stories only you can tell.

During our workshop, ‘Your Book Deserves More Than One Post’, we explored how authors (and not only) can build an audience through authenticity, meaningful conversations, and consistency...not by shouting louder, but by showing up with intention. We left with notebooks full of ideas, content plans, and one simple reminder: writing the book is only the beginning.

This workshop is part of the Bookworms Business Circle, an annual initiative created to support authors, book creators, and the wider bookish community through practical workshops, honest conversations, and meaningful connections. Judging by yesterday’s discussions and thoughtful feedback, we’re only just getting started and I couldn’t be more excited about what’s next.

Thank you to everyone who trusted the process, shared your stories, and reminded us that every book begins with a human being brave enough to tell it.

Όπως γνωρίζετε, κάθε χρόνο τα βιβλία που δωρίζετε ή αγοράζετε στις εκδηλώσεις μας στα βιβλιοπάζαρα μας, υποστηρίζουν έναν σκοπό που είναι βαθιά προσωπικός για μένα.

Φέτος, ενώνουμε δυνάμεις με την πρωτοβουλία “For a Better World” και την κ.Βίκυ που προσφέρει ανιδιοτελώς στον συνάνθρωπό της. Από το 2020, η κ.Βίκυ γεμίζει άδεια ψυγεία, στηρίζει μονογονείς και προσφέρει αξιοπρέπεια σε οικογένειες που η ζωή τους στάθηκε δύσκολη. Γνωρίζοντας πόσο δύσκολη είναι η επιβίωση για ένα μονογονέα (ήμουν κι εγώ μόνη σε αυτό τον αγώνα) και μια πολυμελή οικογένεια, πόσο μάλλον στην Κύπρο του 2026, θέλουμε τα έσοδα του 2026 να γίνουν το δικό μας «χριστουγεννιάτικο τραπέζι» για αυτές τις οικογένειες.

Και μπορείτε να είστε κι εσείς μέρος αυτής της αποστολής! Turns out... our book club has more hidden talents than we thought. 🎤

Some bookworms have the voice.
Some have the vibes.
Some have absolutely killer dance moves.
And some... simply committed to the performance.

One thing we all had in common?
We laughed. We sang. We cheered each other on. And for a couple of hours, nobody cared about being perfect.

A reminder that life isn’t only about finishing the next chapter.
Sometimes it’s about singing your heart out (even off-key) with people who make you feel safe enough to do it.

Take this as your sign to say **yes** to a fun night out.
Gather your favourite people.
Book that karaoke room.
Make the memories.

Because the best stories aren’t always the ones we read.
Sometimes they’re the ones we live. ❤️
