People are always asking me:
“Victoria, why Czechia?”
Sometimes, the answer is in the little things.
Moving abroad isn’t easy… and small moments can make all the difference.
Brno is one of those cities that keeps surprising me.
You wake up, walk to the city center… and suddenly — there’s an event for the international community happening.
In my case, it was the Brno Expat Fest 🇨🇿
A full-day event with interactive workshops, job opportunities, live music, and food from different international communities based in the city.
But what I like most is that it’s not just about having fun.
You can actually share your experience of living here — rating different aspects of the city, or showing where you feel welcome.
And that says a lot.
Sometimes the smartest decision isn’t just about where you will live.
It’s about finding a place where you’re seen, where your voice matters, and where strangers slowly become your community.
It’s about those unexpected moments when a city stops feeling foreign — and starts feeling like home.
So before choosing your next destination, ask yourself:
Will I feel supported there?
Will I be heard?
Will I be able to build a life — not just study?
Because in the end, the right place isn’t just where you go…
It’s where you belong.
And for me, that place is Czechia ❤️✨🇨🇿
