GHANAIAN DIASPORA COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT IN WARSAW, POLAND
Her Excellency Theresa Adjei-Mensah, Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana to the Czech Republic with concurrent accreditation to Poland, held a community engagement with Ghanaians resident in Poland on Sunday, 16th August 2026, at the Church of Pentecost in Warsaw.
The engagement provided an opportunity for open dialogue between the Embassy and the Ghanaian community on a wide range of issues, including consular and welfare services, trade and investment opportunities, agricultural modernization, technology and skills transfer, support for Ghanaian entrepreneurs, residence permit concerns and avenues for strengthening Ghana-Poland cooperation.
Her Excellency Theresa Adjei-Mensah encouraged members of the Ghanaian community to rally behind Ghana's Black Princesses as they prepare to represent the nation at the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Poland.
The Embassy expresses its sincere appreciation to the Ghanaian community for their active participation and constructive contributions. Special appreciation also goes to the leadership of the Ghanaian Community in Poland and the Church of Pentecost for their support in making the engagement a success.

GHANA’S AMBASSADOR TO POLAND WELCOMES GHANA BLACK PRINCESSES TO POLAND

The Ambassador of Ghana to Poland with residence in the Czech Republic, H.E. Theresa Adjei-Mensah on Sunday, 16th August 2026, received the Black Princesses of Ghana in Wroclaw, Poland, ahead of their participation in the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup set to commence from 5th September 2026 in Poland.
The team arrived through Krakow International Airport, where they were received by Embassy officials and accompanied to Wrocław, their base for pre‑tournament preparations. The Princesses have since begun an intensive training programme focused on conditioning, tactical work, and team cohesion.
Her Excellency Theresa Adjei‑Mensah, at a meeting with the Team expressed pride in receiving the them and reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to supporting them throughout their stay. She conveyed greetings from the President of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa and the Minister of Sports, Hon. Kofi Adams, encouraging the players to give their best on the global stage.
On 17th August, 2026, the Ambassador met the team at their hotel and later joined them on the training pitch, despite the rain a gesture warmly appreciated by the players and technical staff. The Head Coach, Mr Charles Sampson noted that it was the first time the team had been formally received by a Ghana Embassy officials since they beginning of their qualifiers and matches, describing the moment as deeply meaningful.
The Embassy will reunite with the team in early September as they finalize preparations for the tournament

H.E. THERESA ADJEI - MENSAH HOSTS MARTIAL ARTS WORLD CHAMPION MS. MARTINA PTÁČKOVÁ TO DISCUSS ANTI-BULLYING COLLABORATION WITH GHANAIAN SCHOOLS
The Ambassador of Ghana to the Czech Republic, H.E. Theresa Adjei Mensah today, held discussions at the Chancery with the Ms. Martina Ptáčková, an eight-time World Martial Arts Champion with distinctions in kickboxing, hand-to-hand combat and boxing, to explore potential collaboration between Ghanaian schools and Ms. Ptáčková's ongoing initiatives.
Ms. Ptáčková, a dedicated anti-bullying campaigner, has, through projects supported by the Czech Combat Federation (PCCF), organized a number of anti-bullying awareness and outreach campaigns. She is also the author of The Villain and I, a superhero-themed guidebook created to help children recognize and defend themselves against bullying.

During the discussion, H.E. Adjei-Mensah, emphasized the particular importance of protecting people especially women and girls from bullying and harassment. She commended Ms. Ptáčková for her work in empowering them to recognize and stand against such anti-social behaviour. She expressed strong support for extending the objectives of Ms. Ptáčková's anti-bullying projects to schools across Ghana, which is expected to unfold in the coming months ahead.

H.E. THERESA ADJEI-MENSAH PRESENTS LETTERS OF CREDENCE TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF POLAND

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Ghana to the Republic of Poland with residence in the Czech Republic, Her Excellency Theresa Adjei-Mensah, , formally presented her Letters of Credence to His Excellency Karol Nawrocki, President of the Republic of Poland, on Tuesday, 21st July 2026, at the Belvedere Palace, Warsaw. The ceremony marks the official commencement of Her Excellency's diplomatic mission and formalizes bilateral relations under her leadership.

During her engagement with H.E. Karol President Nawrocki, focused on strengthening economic ties between the two countries. She reaffirmed Ghana's status as a gateway economy, offering strategic access to the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), and its vast market of 1.3 billion people.

The discussions further explored potential avenues of cooperation in sectors such as agro-processing, infrastructure development, and manufacturing. Both sides also considered opportunities for scholarships and academic exchange programs in engineering, artificial intelligence, mining, and energy, with particular attention to promoting greater participation of women in STEM fields.

In the course of the engagement, H.E Adjei-Mensah extended a cordial invitation to President Nawrocki to undertake an official visit to Ghana in the coming year, and reaffirmed the Government of Ghana's commitment under the leadership of H.E John Dramani Mahama, to deepening and strengthening its partnership with Poland.

As part of the day's official proceedings, Her Excellency also laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, at the Pilsudski Square, in solemn tribute to the memory of Polish soldiers who gave their lives in service of their nation.

In the days ahead, Her Excellency is expected to undertake a series of courtesy calls and institutional engagements in Warsaw, aimed at further consolidating and advancing cooperation between the Republic of Ghana and the Republic of Poland.

EMBASSY OF GHANA IN PRAGUE CELEBRATES THE 9TH EDITION OF THE FESTIVAL OF EMBASSIES

The Embassy of the Republic of Ghana in the Czech Republic joined other diplomatic missions accredited to the Czech Republic on Saturday, 6th June 2026, to participate in the 9th edition of the Festival of Embassies.

Organised annually under the auspices of the Office of the Mayor of Prague 6, the Festival of Embassies provides a valuable platform for cultural exchange, familiarisation, and networking among the diplomatic community in the Czech Republic. Participating countries showcase their rich cultural heritage, traditional cuisines, and unique national identities through exhibits featuring food, artefacts, and cultural displays.

Her Excellency Ambassador Theresa Adjei-Mensah in her remark, welcomed visitors to the Ghana pavilion, where she highlighted Ghana’s vibrant culture and extended an invitation to explore the stand. The Ghanaian exhibit featured locally crafted goods, traditional accessories, and authentic Ghanaian cuisine.
Particular highlights included the renowned ‘Ghana Jollof rice’, premium
Ghanaian chocolate, and high-quality organic shea butter, all of which were
greatly patronised and enjoyed by attendees.

Ambassador Adjei-Mensah expressed her appreciation to patrons and looks forward to an even more impactful and engaging participation in next year’s edition of the Festival.
