Welcome the newest Chief of Staff, General Charles Q. Brown.

Prior to serving as Chief of Staff, General Charles Q. Brown was the commander of Pacific Air Forces as well as an experienced F-16 combat pilot clocking in more than 2,900 flying hours! Starting his education with Civil , Gen. Brown went on to serve as the commandment of the elite U.S. Air Force Weapons School .

Huge Congratulations to the new Chief of Staff, the first African American in history to lead a branch of the U.S. military! We look forward to serving under an Airman who is truly the best and brightest!

Just a few heavies

U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotankers, C-17 Globemaster IIIs and KC-46 Pegasus aircraft line up for an elephant walk at , Oklahoma, during a large formation exercise. During the exercise, 24 aircraft from Altus AFB lined up and took off from the base to practice a large-scale evacuation.

I do miss working on the F-16 from time to time. As a former Aerospace Propulsion Journeyman (2A6X1), I learned how to completely dismantle, troubleshoot, maintain, and rebuild jet engines. Safety measures at Basic Military Training have been implemented in response to the threat. Through social distancing and a 14-day restriction period, the virus has a lower chance of spreading and trainees can continue to fly, fight, win. Another day on lockdown, a thousand more reasons to keep grinding. Thanks to the Air Force for allowing me to telework and also for paying me well enough to afford nice things. Having fitness equipment at home has been a life saver during self-isolation. Stay safe!

This plane is such a beast! The pilot sustained zero injuries, thank goodness. There's no plane out there quite as versatile and durable as the A-10. Like a fine wine, the warthog seems to only get better with age!
