Our Bravo Company recently gathered to conduct a Change of Command ceremony, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another — but most importantly, honoring a leader who left a lasting mark on the formation.

We proudly welcome U.S. Army Capt. Trevor Thomas, who assumes command of Bravo Company. Taking the guidon is more than a ceremonial moment — it represents trust, responsibility, and the charge to lead Soldiers through the challenges ahead. We are confident that under your leadership, the Berserkers will continue to grow, adapt, and succeed while upholding the standards and legacy entrusted to you.

U.S. Army Capt. Chase Wayant relinquished command after an exceptional tenure defined by genuine care for Soldiers, steadfast leadership, and an unwavering commitment to the mission.

Captain Wayant — your leadership went far beyond the guidon. You built trust, developed leaders, and fostered a culture where Soldiers felt valued, challenged, and empowered to be their best. Bravo Company is stronger because of you, and your impact will be felt long after today. Thank you and the Chase family for everything you gave to this company and its Soldiers.

Thank you to everyone who came together to support this meaningful moment.

We stepped up this holiday season to serve beyond the mission. Recently, our battalion conducted a Toy Drive and Food Pantry Ruck March, combining physical readiness with community service to make a real impact where it matters most.

Through their efforts, the battalion collected more than 120 toys for children and more than 130 food pantry items to support families during the holidays.

This event showcased the heart of the — selfless service, teamwork, and a commitment to giving back while staying Outstanding. Proud of our Soldiers for carrying the load and spreading holiday cheer across our community.

An shoutout to U.S. Army Sgt. Erica Curtain from Alpha Company Avengers for organizing and leading such an amazing event, with a bigger turnout than expected.

Recently, our Bravo Company, 1st Platoon, conducted Outstanding Academy, which focused on teaching new Soldiers the fundamentals of operating the Strategic Node Network. This course also served as a valuable refresher for other Platoon members, reinforcing their knowledge and operational effectiveness.

This training, led by the Berserker NETOPS team, emphasized system architecture, basic configuration, and operational workflows.

All eight teams quickly applied the instructions, demonstrating an understanding of SNN setup, troubleshooting fundamentals, and mission support procedures. The deliberate, hands-on training prepares Soldiers to integrate into future operations effectively. (U.S. Army photos by Sgt. Gabriel Moreno)

Champions Crown at annual Turkey Bowl 🦃🏈

We recently held our annual Turkey Bowl, bringing Soldiers from across the battalion together for a day of friendly — yet fiercely competitive — football.

Tempers flared, motivation ran high, and every company left it all on the field in true fashion.

At the end of the day, only one company can be crowned champion.

Congratulations to the Charlie Company Cobras 🐍 who emerged victorious and earned their bragging rights until next year's Turkey Bowl.

🏆: Charlie Company Cobras
🥈: Bravo Company Berserkers
🥉: Headquarters & Headquarters Company Honey Badgers
🏅: Alpha Company Avengers

Huge to all the players, coaches, and supporters who showed up with pride and sportsmanship. Events like this strengthen our teamwork, build esprit de corps, and remind us why the 44th ESB-E continues to set the standard.

Our Command Teams were honored to serve Thanksgiving meals to the Soldiers, Civilians, and their Families of the U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany at the Knight’s Lair Warrior DFAC, November 25, 2025.

This annual tradition is one of our favorite opportunities to show our appreciation to the men and women who support the mission every day.

From sharing a warm meal to spending time together as a battalion family, the event reflected the spirit of gratitude, service, and camaraderie that defines the 44th ESB-E.

Thank you to everyone who came out, and a special thank-you to the culinary team and volunteers who made this celebration possible.
