Today in Rheinland-Pfalz, H.E. Ambassador Igor César joined the Rwandan community and friends of Rwanda to celebrate Rwanda Day, marking more than four decades of partnership between Rwanda and Rheinland-Pfalz.

The celebration was a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the enduring friendship, people-to-people connections, and cooperation that have continued to strengthen the bond between Rwanda and Rheinland-Pfalz.

As we celebrate this longstanding partnership, we look forward to deepening our shared commitment to friendship, cooperation, and mutual prosperity.

This weekend 8th August, in Berlin, the Rwandan community and friends of Rwanda came together to celebrate Umuganura 2026, National Harvest Day, under the theme “Umuganura: A Source of Unity and the Foundation of Self-Reliance.”

In his remarks, H.E. Ambassador Igor Cesar highlighted the importance of keeping Rwandan culture and traditions alive as a way of preserving our history, understanding where we come from, and carrying forward the spirit of unity that has long been part of Rwanda’s identity.

The celebration brought these values to life through traditional games ibisakuzo, children sharing milk, and the recognition of achievements through award, reminding us that what we accomplish as a nation is strengthened when we work together, celebrate together, and share in each other’s success.

HE Ambassador Igor Cesar recently hosted an inspiring virtual meeting with Rwandan students in Kaiserslautern, including a warm welcome to the newest students arriving for their studies.

During the session, the student community presented their new committee and shared their recent experiences. To wrap up, Ambassador shared valuable advice, drawing from his own personal journey of moving abroad as an 18-year-old student and navigating the crucial shift toward total self-management.
