Cyprus Participates at SMM Hamburg 2026

Cyprus will participate for the first time with a National Pavilion at SMM Hamburg 2026, one of the world’s leading international events for the maritime industry, taking place from 1 to 4 September 2026 at Hamburg Messe and Congress in Hamburg, Germany.

The Cypriot participation is organised by Trade Service - Ministry of Energy, Commerce & Industry (MECI) of the Republic of Cyprus, in cooperation with the Cyprus Trade Centre in Berlin and the Shipping Deputy Ministry of Cyprus. Located in Hall B3.OG, the National Pavilion brings together 12 exhibitors, including the MECI, the Shipping Deputy Ministry of Cyprus, the CMMI - Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute and nine companies active in the maritime sector and maritime services.

Visitors are invited to explore the Pavilion and discover the expertise, services and innovative solutions presented by the exhibitors.

As part of Cyprus’ participation, the Trade Service - Ministry of Energy, Commerce & Industry and the Shipping Deputy Ministry of Cyprus will co-organise the Cyprus Maritime Innovation Event on Wednesday, 2 September 2026, from 14:00 to 18:00, at Marseille 1, Hall B3.2OG. The event will feature presentations and discussions on maritime innovation and emerging solutions, followed by a networking reception, providing an opportunity for participants to exchange views, connect with representatives of the international maritime and business community and explore potential areas for cooperation.

Sechs Monate in Deutschland: mit der Abschlussveranstaltung am 30. Juni ist die zyprische Ratspräsidentschaft in Berlin in feierlicher Atmosphäre zu Ende gegangen. Besonders gefreut haben wir uns über die Teilnahme des Staatsministers für Europa im Auswärtigen Amt, Gunther Krichbaum. Das musikalische Programm mit Künstler: innen aus Zypern und Irland setzte einen stimmungsvollen Schlusspunkt.

Für die Botschaft der Republik Zypern war es eine besondere Ehre, diese Präsidentschaft mit Initiativen, Begegnungen und Veranstaltungen in ganz Deutschland sichtbar zu machen: europäisch, partnerschaftlich und mit klarem Blick auf das, was uns verbindet.

Unser Dank gilt allen, die diese sechs Monate begleitet, unterstützt und mit europäischem Leben gefüllt haben.

Die ausgehende zyprische EU- Ratspräsidentschaft und die kommende irische Präsidentschaft nahmen als Gäste am internationalen Sommerempfang des Bundesministeriums der Finanzen teil.

Ein Abend in im Landtag von , gewidmet 🇨🇾 und 🇪🇺: mit guten Gesprächen, einem Panel zum Thema maritime , Musik und Kulinarik aus Zypern.
Die Botschaft dankt Landtagspräsidentin Kristina Herbst und ihrem Team herzlich für die Gastfreundschaft und die hervorragende Organisation.
Botschafterin Maria Papakyriakou schloss ihren Besuch mit einem Austausch im Europaausschuss des Landtages ab, bei dem sie die Prioritäten und Ergebnisse der mit den Abgeordneten diskutierte.

Zypern als Gastland beim Tag der offenen Tür der Bundesregierung im Auswärtigen Amt 🇨🇾🤝🏽🇩🇪

Anlässlich des Tags der offenen Tür der Bundesregierung lädt die Botschaft der Republik Zypern in Deutschland alle interessierten Besucherinnen und Besucher herzlich ein, den zyprischen Stand im Auswärtigen Amt zu besuchen.

Zypern präsentiert sich in diesem Jahr als Gastland im Auswärtigen Amt in Berlin. Im Mittelpunkt stehen dabei Zypern als EU-Mitgliedstaat, der zyprische Vorsitz im Rat der Europäischen Union im ersten Halbjahr 2026 sowie die vielfältigen Beziehungen zwischen Zypern, Deutschland und Europa. Der Tag der offenen Tür findet am 20. und 21. Juni 2026, jeweils von 10:00 bis 18:00 Uhr, statt.

Im Erdgeschoss lädt ein Zypern-Quiz dazu ein, das Land, seine Kultur und seine Rolle in der Europäischen Union auf spielerische Weise kennenzulernen. Im ersten Stock informieren Stände über Tourismus und Schifffahrt; zudem werden zyprische Dokumentarfilme und Infopanels über Zypern angeboten.

Ergänzt wird das Programm durch kulturelle Veranstaltungen auf der Open-Air-Bühne im Protokollhof des Auswärtigen Amts: Am Samstag, 20. Juni, von 14:00 bis 15:30 Uhr tritt Della auf, eine der bedeutendsten neuen Stimmen der europäischen alternativen Musik und erste Zyprerin, die 2026 mit dem Music Moves Europe Award ausgezeichnet wurde. Am Sonntag, 21. Juni, von 15:30 bis 16:30 Uhr folgt ein Konzert der in Berlin lebenden zyprischen Singer-Songwriterin Eleni Era im Rahmen der Fête de la Musique Berlin.

Darüber hinaus findet am Sonntag, 21. Juni, von 11:15 bis 12:00 Uhr das Gesprächsformat „Treffpunkt Diplomatie“ – Gemeinsam was bewegen statt: Unter dem Titel „Zyperns EU-Ratspräsidentschaft“ spricht Botschafterin Maria Papakyriakou mit Christoph Wolfrum, Leiter der EU-Abteilung im Auswärtigen Amt.

Die Botschaft der Republik Zypern freut sich auf zahlreiche Besucherinnen und Besucher sowie auf einen lebendigen Austausch im Zeichen der zyprisch-deutschen Freundschaft und der europäischen Zusammenarbeit.
