Zimmer im ehemaligen Hotel Fantaisie, das Cosima und Richard Wagner bei ihrer Übersiedelung nach Bayreuth 1872 bewohnt haben.

Die Räumlichkeit werden in Privatinitiative fachgerecht restauriert und anlassbezogen der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich gemacht.

Excellent visit by friendly Andreas Bauer Kanabas, the "Colonna" in the sensational production of "Rienzic . Much could be said about his role, the staging of the "Große tragische Oper in 5 Akten" and Andreas' future assignments Semperoper (Colonna, Ochs) and Oper Frankfurt (Landgraf Hermann, Hunding, Ramfis). All the best and see you soon again in Bayreuth, hopefully!

Christian Thielemann never stops! Always exploring new territories, testing the limits and being curious for more discoveries, every performance under his baton becomes an unique artistic experience.
On the 13th of August 2026, the Meister was honored for an unparalleled achievement: The 200th conducting at the Bayreuther Festspiele! Be it fate or coincidence, exactly 150 years before the Festspielhaus was inaugrated with the first "Ring".
Additionally he is an inspiration for other conductors at the Green Hill where he offers his outstanding experience.
Christian Thielemann is also truely interested in Wagner-related activities outside of the Festspielhaus. In 2021, he was one of the first persons of the nearly renovated Wagnerzimmer and became a regular visitor since then.

It was a great pleasure to host "Gutrune" •MAGDALENA HINTERDOBLER• in the very rooms where the Götterdämmerung was finished by Richard Wagner! Magdalena was starting at the legendary kammerchorstraubing which is also related to Christian Gerhaher, Baritone, Gerold Huber and Thomas Guggeis! (We need more Straubings)
She was accompanied by Maaike Hupperetz and from who performed brilliantly the Wesendonck Lieder a couple of days before Wagnerzimmer.
Magdalena Hinterdobler will make history at the forthcoming reopening of Oper Köln by singing the Marschallin in Der Rosenkavalier. Toi Toi Toi!

What a nice morning with solists Evelin Novak, Natalia Skrycka and Tijl Faveyts, accompanied by Esther Lobato Deputy President Richard-Wagner-Verband International e.V. ! Together with Esther, we had the greatest time with the friendly group of singers which are performing excellently in their roles at the high-profile 150 years jubilee season. All the best for the rest of the festival and the new season Staatsoper Unter den Linden and Oper Köln!

The "Rienzi" is the sensation of the 2026! Considered mostly as a inferior work of Richard Wagner, the excellent production under the baton of Nathalie Stutzmann proves it to be qualified for the Festspielhaus. The enormous efforts of the Rienzi Team paid off!
We had the priviledge to discuss the opera and the challenging role of Irene in detail with fabulous Gabriela Scherer. It was a long way from the "Friedensbote" in the Oper Leipzig 2007 to the this very special role in Bayreuth. Congratulations to this fantastic achievement and all the best for the future!

Special moments when the quintessential Strauss soprano .nylund.saris with sweet Nalle visited the villa of Richard Strauss in Garmisch-Partenkirchen for the first time. All operas after Salome have been created at this very desk in the composers room! The singer of Marschallin, Kaiserin, Ariadne, Arabella, Salome and many more works of Richard Strauss has been deeply impressed by the genius loci.
A special thanks to the family Strauss for their generosity and the for honoring Camilla Nylund in a dedicated ceremony!

Auftakt zu den Feierlichkeiten im Jubiläumsjahr .150! Ein festlicher Abend zur Feier der Kunst von Richard Wagner am Vorabend der Grundsteinlegung des Festspielehauses und des Meisters' Geburtstag. Etwa 200 Personen sind zur Soiree nach Fantaisie unter dem Wagnerzimmer gekommen. Das Bläserquintett der , des Orchesters von Richard Wagner, gestaltete den Abend auf höchstem Niveau. Ihr ehemaliger GMD Christian Thielemann freute sich sehr über die Initiative und ließ seine herzlichen Grüße an alle Besucher ausrichten. Gekonnt verlas Dr. Olli Hepp von der Ausschnitte aus der Rede zur Grundsteinlegung. Der gesamte Abend war atmosphärisch und historisch aufgeladen. Viele Besucher verweilten noch länger.
Ermöglicht wurde die Soiree durch die , die Oberfrankenstiftung, das Kulturforum Eckersdorf und Team Wagnerzimmer.
Herzlichen Dank an die Künstler, die vielen Helfer sowie .schuh.bt, 2. Bürgermeister Bayreuth für die Ansprache sowie von .150 für die Moderation. Das sehr engagierte Kulturforum Eckersdorf und Team Wagnerzimmer hoffen, daß aus der Soiree am 21. Mai eine Tradition wird.trombone .m.indlekofer

Die Konzeption des und der Bau des Festspielhauses wurden im 1872 in die Tat umgesetzt. Mit ihren Künstlern und Freunden haben Cosima und Richard Wagner am 21. Mai 1872 einen festlichen Abend in Fantaisie gefeiert. Gemeinsam mit der , dem Kulturforum Eckersdorf und der Oberfrankenstiftung lassen wir diese Idee am 21. Mai 2026 wieder aufleben. Künstlerisch gestaltet wird der Abend durch das Bläserquintett der , die schon 2022 bei uns gespielt haben.
Ein Highlight von .150, das man nicht verpassen sollte!trombone
