The Charge d’Affaires, Mr. Fahad ur Rehman, received Dr. Sughra Sadaf, renowned poet, writer and scholar of Urdu and Punjabi literature, during her visit to Frankfurt. She was accompanied by Ms. Shazia Nurain, poet based in Frankfurt.

The engaging discussion centred on Urdu and Punjabi literature, poetry and the rich Sufi heritage of the Subcontinent. Dr. Sadaf highlighted the enduring spiritual and humanistic messages of eminent Sufi figures and poets, including Mian Muhammad Bakhsh, Bulleh Shah, Baba Farid, Data Ganj Bakhsh and Rehman Baba, whose timeless teachings continue to promote love, tolerance, compassion and humanity.

The Consulate General appreciates this enriching exchange and the opportunity to celebrate Pakistan’s rich literary and spiritual heritage.

This was the only element missing from yesterday’s celebration and our community members brought it to life suddenly with flag-decorated cars rally in Frankfurt passing through the Consulate, just like we celebrate back home in Pakistan. 🇵🇰
Kudos to all our community members for coming together and celebrating Pakistan’s Independence Day with the Consulate. This is the spirit of unity, pride and togetherness we want to see in our community. Pakistan Zindabad 🇵🇰❤️
