In aviation, knowledge matters. But knowledge alone is not enough.

People need to understand complex systems, apply what they have learned and make sound decisions in real-life situations.
That is why training at Lufthansa Technical Training goes beyond theory. We combine technical knowledge with practical application, industry experience and real operational context - helping learners build confidence, whether they are preparing for a new qualification, expanding existing expertise or taking their first steps into aviation.

At Lufthansa Technical Training, learning is about preparing people to apply their knowledge with professionalism, responsibility and care when it matters most.

Because in aviation, training is not measured by what people remember in the classroom, but by how effectively they use that knowledge in real operational situations.

A passion for people, learning, and development has shaped Sarah Reinert's career from the very beginning.

After joining the Lufthansa Group in 2008, her career led her through various roles, projects, and leadership positions. Later, she made a conscious decision to join a start-up in the travel industry, gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced environment and further shaping her approach to leadership, collaboration and change. When the opportunity to join Lufthansa Technical Training (LTT) arose, it combined her passion for aviation, learning and development.

"I missed aviation. I missed the Lufthansa environment. And I've always had a passion for learning, development and training." Since December 2025, Sarah has been Team Lead for a group of Type Training instructors at LTT. With instructors working around the world, her role goes far beyond coordination.

She focuses on communication, structure and people development while ensuring her team has a reliable point of contact wherever they are.

Working with instructors from different backgrounds, strengths and perspectives, she particularly enjoys supporting individual development while balancing the demands of a global training business.

For Sarah, good leadership means creating orientation, encouraging collaboration, and helping people perform at their best. What continues to excite her about LTT is the combination of aviation, technology and hands-on learning. From aircraft and simulator training to digital learning solutions, she is fascinated by how practical and engaging learning can be.

"Our instructors don't just teach from theory. They bring their own experiences into the classroom and make learning tangible through real stories and real situations." She also values the room for development within a highly safety-critical industry. "Trying new approaches, learning from experience and continuously improving together are important parts of moving forward."

That mindset also shapes her advice for newcomers: "Take the time to explore what we offer. Attend a training course, experience our products and discover the variety of learning solutions we provide."

Looking ahead, Sarah hopes LTT will continue building on its strengths while making its expertise even more visible. "We have outstanding instructors, innovative training solutions and a wealth of experience. I'd love to see even more people discover what makes LTT special."

One experience still high on her wish list is accompanying instructors on one of LTT's training missions abroad. Whether in extreme weather, unfamiliar surroundings, or a different cultural setting, she is fascinated by the environments in which instructors share their knowledge.

"The stories they bring back are incredible. I'd love to experience one of those adventures myself."

For Sarah, it's ultimately about people: leveraging potential, encouraging new ideas, and ensuring instructors are best prepared to deliver impactful training.

When talking to Stephanie Imhof, one thing becomes clear almost immediately: she loves trying new things.

Whether building her own marketing agency, implementing international projects, leading teams, or working with customers across the aviation industry, curiosity and initiative have guided every step of her journey. After studying Media Management and completing master’s degrees in communication and information sciences, Stephie built her career across various areas of the Lufthansa Group. Along the way, she launched her own marketing agency, developing branding concepts and gaining sales experience.

Her Lufthansa journey took her from Quality Management to aircraft overhaul projects in Hamburg, where she worked on training concepts and process implementation in international environments. Through assignments at Lufthansa Technik locations worldwide, she gained valuable international experience across diverse business areas and organizational cultures. She later moved into customer service, key account management, international business development, and leadership roles before joining Lufthansa Technical Training in November 2025 as a Key Account Manager for internal and external customers.

What excites her most about the role is the unique combination of people, business, and technology. "I've worked in customer-facing roles for years, and I can honestly imagine doing this until retirement," she says. "At LTT, you have the perfect mix of training, communication, and highly technical products. It allows you to stay creative and keep learning."

When describing Lufthansa Technical Training, three things immediately come to mind: innovative training solutions, a fantastic team culture, and the unique proximity to aviation itself.

One memorable experience happened before joining the company. Attending an LTT customer event as a future colleague, everyone else arrived by taxi while Stephie arrived on a scooter in a dress and high heels. The unexpected entrance quickly became a conversation starter and memorable introduction to the team.

Her approach to work is straightforward.
"I just do it," she says. "I ask for feedback, exchange ideas, and learn from people across the organization. The key is to stay curious and keep trying." That mindset continues to shape how she approaches challenges and opportunities.

For anyone new to Lufthansa Technical Training, her advice is simple: "Go straight to the hangar and have a look at the aircraft. There’s nothing more inspiring." Looking ahead, Stephie hopes to see LTT continue growing internationally and driving innovation. She is particularly passionate about immersive learning technology. "I would love to see our VR solutions become a real success story. We have exciting ideas and great potential. Now it's about being courageous enough to keep exploring new paths."

Curiosity, innovation, and a passion for connecting people and technology, that's what drives Stephie at Lufthansa Technical Training.

Every great training starts with people.
At Lufthansa Technical Training, great training is never the result of one person alone. Behind every course, every learning solution and every customer project is a team of people with different expertise and a shared commitment to aviation.

Some develop training concepts and digital learning solutions. Some bring decades of technical experience into the classroom. Others support customers, ensure quality standards, drive innovation or keep daily operations running smoothly. Different roles. Different perspectives. One common goal: helping aviation professionals build the knowledge and skills they need to succeed.

What connects us goes far beyond professional expertise. It is a genuine passion for aviation, the kind that makes people go the extra mile, ask “how can we do this better?” and never settle for “good enough” when safety and performance are at stake. It is a belief that learning is not a one-time event, but a continuous journey that shapes individuals, strengthens teams, and ultimately supports the entire industry.

Because behind every safe flight is not just a team, but a group of people who truly care, who keep learning, and who are proud to contribute to aviation safety every single day.
