Active Duty and Reserve medics found a creative solution to provide medical care to patients while dealing with threats from above during Combined Resolve 26-07. The threat the medics faced during the exercise was that of Unmanned Aerial Systems, commonly known as drone warfare or strikes.

Service members who successfully complete the competition are awarded the Schutzenschnur at bronze, silver or gold level, based on a Soldier’s accuracy.

Romanian Lt. Gen. Ciprian Marin, chief of the Romanian Land Forces Staff, visited with and met with U.S. Army leadership assigned to the 7th Army Training Command during a partner nation visit to , , May 29, 2026.

Lt. Gen. Marin, alongside Romanian Land Forces Sgt. Maj. of the Army Valentin Stanciu, U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Terry R. Tillis, and Command Sgt. Maj. Paul M. Fedorisin, spent time engaging directly with troops in the field. The visit focused on live-fire exercise management, maintenance, and range movement to enable faster decisions and more effective operations across all domains, demonstrating transformation at scale while strengthening deterrence. Together with allies, the United States is building a unified, lethal force ready to defend NATO territory and respond to any threat.

Soldiers faced the physically demanding assessment, working towards a goal of passing the standards that determined who progresses to the next stage of the Air Assault course, challenging their strength, endurance, and ability to complete critical Soldier tasks to standard during the multi-day event.

We’re looking for photos that depict training ⚔️, Soldier life 🪖, and the local environment 🦌

The contest is open to all , DoD civilians, and family members.

Up to 5 photos per contestant, DVIDS links are welcome.
Rules 📃:
1. Photos must be from the month of the competition.
2. Photos must have a high resolution to be competitive.
3. Please include a short caption with your photo (if not submitting through DVIDS link) i.e. who, what, when, why, and where.
4. Please submit photos taken in Grafenwoehr, Vilseck, Hohenfels, or surrounding areas, or of units or exercises that fall under 7ATC.
🏆 The top 3 photos will be announced the following month and posted on our facebook and instagram accounts! The 1st place winner’s photo will also be displayed on a large, high-quality poster board in the 7ATC Headquarters (available upon request) 🏆
