In Uganda and Kenya, students not only receive a bicycle from but also the knowledge to maintain them themselves. During practical workshops, they learn how to carry out minor repairs and keep their bikes in top condition. A bicycle means more than just transportation: it provides access to education, independence, and a step toward a better future. 💪📚

🚴‍♀️ AfricroozE Uganda Officially Launches Clean Mobility Solutions in Jinja ⚡

We’re excited to share that AfricroozE Uganda Ltd is now officially open for customers! At our recent press conference in Jinja, we introduced our full fleet of solar-powered e-bikes and innovative mobile solar charging hubs—designed specifically for Uganda’s transport realities.

Our locally adapted e-bikes are built to serve a wide range of users:

Commuters looking to cut fuel costs

Delivery riders and entrepreneurs

Farmers, students, and women groups seeking reliable, affordable transport

Meet the AfricroozE fleet:
🔹 Rafiki – The Commuter
🔹 Kifaru – The Allrounder
🔹 Ngamia – The Cargo Bike

Each model is powered by our off-grid solar e-hubs, developed in partnership with Asantys Systems GmbH and supported through the German Energy Solutions Initiative. These modular hubs are not only charging stations, but also serve as repair workshops, community tech spaces, and digital hubs—unlocking both mobility and opportunity.

This project directly supports Uganda’s Vision 2040, the National E-Mobility Strategy, and our shared global commitment to reducing emissions and creating local jobs.

We invite everyone—riders, partners, policymakers—to come experience our e-bikes at our Jinja E-Hub. A public launch event is coming soon. Stay tuned!

Together, we’re building a future where mobility is clean, local, and inclusive.

🚲🔋 Powering the Future of Mobility in Uganda
We’re proud to announce a major milestone: the AfricroozE E-Mobility Hub in Jinja is now fully operational! 🇺🇬⚡

This pilot project is a key step in building a sustainable, locally rooted e-mobility ecosystem. With solar energy at its core, the hub enables affordable and clean transport for farmers, small businesses, health workers, and students in the region.

☀️ The 7.47 kWp solar system—installed and commissioned by our partner Asantys Systems—includes 15.36 kWh of battery storage, ensuring a reliable off-grid power supply to charge our e-bikes and support daily operations.

🛠️ Despite logistical challenges (including damaged PV panels in transit), the Asantys East Africa team ensured smooth installation and provided hands-on training for local technicians, strengthening long-term capacity and local value creation.

💡 The hub is now a model for scalable, decentralized transport infrastructure that blends German engineering with African impact. It reflects our commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, especially in climate action, gender equity, and access to opportunity.

👏 Huge thanks to all partners and our Jinja-based team for bringing this vision to life.

📍 The future of transport in Africa is clean, inclusive, and solar-powered—and it’s already rolling.
