Über den Film: „Die Art und Weise, wie wir unser Leben produzieren, ist dumm, gefährlich und grausam. Es ist an der Zeit über eine Revolution nachzudenken, die die Gesellschaft grundlegend verändert.
Wir haben Genoss*innen zu den revolutionären Momenten der 1970er Jahre befragt. Wir haben mit Leuten gesprochen, die sich derzeit an Debatten über eine neue Produktionsweise beteiligen. Wir haben dutzende Arbeiter*innen interviewt, die sich aktuell auf Gemüseäckern, in Umspannwerken, Krankenhäusern oder U-Bahnschächten zur Wehr setzen.
In ‚Jeder Acker, jede Fabrik‘ entwickeln wir aus all diesen Stimmen ein konkretes Bild davon, wie der Übergang in eine post-kapitalistische Gesellschaft aussehen könnte. – Für alle, die ihren Kopf nicht in den Sand stecken wollen.“

On this day, 12 August 2017, 32-year-old anti-racist Heather Heyer was killed and dozens injured in a white supremacist terrorist attack in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Heyer was one of thousands of people protesting against a Unite the Right rally of neo-N**is, Ku Klux Klan activists and other white nationalists and antisemites, when she was hit by a car driven at speed deliberately into the crowd by a 20-year-old N**i, who was pictured previously on the Unite the Right protest holding a shield emblazoned with the logo of Vanguard America, a far right group.
Elsewhere in the city, another group of fascists attacked and viciously beat DeAndre Harris, a young Black education worker, leaving him with spinal and other injuries.
Then-president Donald Trump described some of the neo-N**is as "very fine people".
Over the next few years, over 100 other vehicular attacks took place, mostly targeted at Black Lives Matter protesters, killing several and injuring dozens.
Republican lawmakers responded by attempting to introduce laws to legalise attacks, or prevent lawsuits against attackers who killed protesters with their vehicles in at least 15 states, successfully introducing them in states such as Florida, Iowa and Oklahoma.

On this day, 7 August 1890, legendary US labour organiser, feminist and socialist Elizabeth Gurley Flynn was born. She played a leading role in the revolutionary Industrial Workers of the World union, was a founding member of the American Civil Liberties Union and an active fighter for birth control and women's suffrage. As an organiser in the IWW, she helped organise campaigns and strikes amongst garment workers in the north-east, miners in Minnesota and much more; she was arrested 10 times, once during a union fight for free-speech in Spokane, Washington. She later joined the Communist Party, and was one of numerous CP activists to be jailed for advocating "violent overthrow" of the government, serving two years in the Alderson federal prison camp.
