Team Ramstein,

The installation commander has formally increased the base’s Health Protection Condition (HPCON) to Bravo today. This is not cause for alarm, as the base was already implementing HPCON Bravo measures before today. The 86th Medical Group is adjusting operations starting Monday to more effectively mitigate COVID-19. This includes:

▪️Standing up a separate COVID-19 clinic area
▪️A new COVID-19 Hotline (480-9001 or 06371-47-9001) to answer questions and concerns

Patients can expect impacts to a variety of medical appointments, potential delays and additional requirements to receive cough and cold medicines through the S.I.C.K. program.

Additionally, there are many changes to base operations and hours beginning today. See the linked page above for complete information.

The link also includes helpful information and guidance regarding housing, personal property/household goods, and other impacts from the recent DoD travel restrictions.

Take special note of the memo signed by the wing commander regarding duty location for parents who have young children at home while schools and childcare services are closed.

We love bringing people together to foster the German-American exchange, but the spread of SARS-CoV-2 also affects our events. Your well-being is our priority and your safety is our primary concern which is why we will follow procedures for social distancing measures.
