DOWEA is a field activity of the Office of the Secretary of War. Each region is managed by a Director for Student Excellence.

A page providing news and information in support of school-age Department of War Education Activity (DOWEA) children of active duty military and civilian employees. It is headed by a director who oversees all agency functions from DOWEA headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia. DOWEA's schools are divided into three regions; DOWEA Europe; DOWEA Pacific; and DOWEA Americas. Wi

Patch Middle School is excited to welcome our students, families, faculty, and staff to the **2026–2027 school year!**

The first week of school is underway, and our halls are once again filled with the energy that makes Patch such a special place. From our teachers and support staff to our front office, school meals team, administrators, and community partners, it takes an entire team to make each school year successful.

We’re looking forward to sharing more of what’s happening around Patch this year — celebrating our students, highlighting our staff, sharing school events, and giving our families a look at the great things happening throughout our school.
