Recently, FPT Software opened its new Munich office in Munich, marking a significant step in its European expansion and reinforcing Bavaria’s position as a leading hub for AI and digital transformation. 🚀

With the “Munich Innovation Roadshow”, the company brought together representatives from business, government and the tech sector to discuss the future of artificial intelligence, industrial innovation and sustainable digitalization. The event also highlighted the growing importance of German–Vietnamese technology collaboration and positioned Munich as a key European gateway for AI-driven industrial applications.🤖

The expansion builds on Bavaria’s strong innovation ecosystem, where research excellence, industrial leadership and emerging AI infrastructure continue to attract global technology players. FPT’s move complements its existing presence in Germany, including its Nuremberg office focused on automotive, manufacturing and intelligent mobility.

Biotech meets Bavaria in London. 🧬

Together with the Office of the Free State of Bavaria in the UK and Start2 Group, Invest in Bavaria is bringing together innovative biotech companies, investors and ecosystem leaders from the UK and Bavaria during London Tech Week. 🤝

The curated Bavarian–British BioTech Roundtable & Reception 2026 is designed to connect innovative UK biotech companies with Bavaria’s leading life sciences ecosystem and growth opportunities. At the same time, the event will bring together Bavarian biotech companies expanding into the UK with investors, ecosystem partners and industry leaders.

Our colleague Antje Pich will be on site and looks forward to connecting with companies interested in expanding to Bavaria and exploring opportunities within the state’s dynamic biotech and innovation ecosystem. Autonomous mobility is gaining momentum in : Uber and Autobrains have announced plans to launch a new robotaxi pilot in the Bavarian capital. 🚖

The project will test Level 4 autonomous vehicles capable of operating without driver intervention within defined operational areas. By combining Uber’s mobility platform with Autobrains’ AI technology, the initiative aims to bring fully autonomous ride-hailing services one step closer to reality.

What makes the project particularly noteworthy is its scalable approach. Instead of relying on specially designed vehicles, the technology can be integrated into production models from a variety of automotive manufacturers, potentially accelerating the adoption of autonomous driving solutions across the industry. 🌐

Chu Thi Thanh Ha, Chairwoman of FPT Software, FPT Corporation, and gain insights into FPT’s decision to choose Munich as a strategic European location. 🚀

FPT is one of Asia’s leading technology and IT service providers, offering solutions in software development, digital transformation, AI, cloud, and IT consulting for global enterprises across industries such as automotive, manufacturing, and finance.

Last week, our colleague Dr. Antje Pich attended the reception hosted by the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Korea in , Thomas Elster — an evening that brought together cultural exchange and strategic dialogue between Bavaria and South Korea.

In their welcoming remarks, Thomas Elster, H.E. Sang Beom Lim, and State Minister Eric Beißwenger highlighted the growing importance of Bavaria–Korea cooperation and the shared ambition to deepen long-term strategic partnerships between both innovation ecosystems. The focus was on strengthening collaboration between Bavarian and Korean companies, universities, clusters, and start-ups, particularly in future-oriented sectors such as AI, MedTech, Biotech, semiconductors, robotics, and automotive. 🤖🧬

A central theme of the evening was Bavaria’s role as a leading European innovation hub. Regions such as Munich, Nürnberg, Erlangen, and Regensburg continue to attract international high-tech and deep-tech companies through their strong research landscape, industrial expertise, and collaborative networks. At the same time, the reception underlined Bavaria’s commitment to supporting Korean companies in building connections, establishing partnerships, and exploring opportunities within the region.

Beyond the economic perspective, the evening emphasized the importance of cultural and economic bridge-building. Through personal exchange, mutual trust, and shared values, Bavaria and South Korea are creating the foundation for lasting international partnerships that extend far beyond business alone.

This spirit was also reflected in the cultural program: Hye Um-Schoof presented the traditional Korean monastic dance “Seungmu,” while Zen Master Hyon Gak Sunim offered a moving recitation of the Heart Sutra accompanied by the moktak. The evening concluded with a Korean buffet and continued exchange among guests in an open and welcoming atmosphere.

An evening that demonstrated how culture, innovation, and trust come together to shape sustainable international cooperation. 🤝
