"We must come to see that the end we seek is a society at peace with itself, a society that can live with its conscience." Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., “How long? Not long” (March 25th, 1965)

🇺🇸

Today we remember the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who dedicated his life to a dream of equality and challenged the nation to not judge people by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.

The Army is committed to the ideals of Dr. King and welcomes any person who is qualified to serve, regardless of background.

The theme of today, “A Day On, Not a Day Off,” encourages individuals to dedicate their time to community service and to instill Dr. King's principles of unity and equity throughout the world. Take this time to consider giving back to your community by volunteering locally: https://wiesbaden.armymwr.com/programs/army-volunteer-corps

🗓️ All members of the Garrison Wiesbaden community are invited to join us as we come together to honor Dr. King's work locally at the Wiesbaden Sports and Fitness Center on Clay Kaserne, Jan. 24, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Command Sgt. Maj. Rickey G. Jackson, Command Sergeant Major of 56th Artillery Command, will be this year's guest speaker.
