Bon retour, Lieutenant Abrar ! 🇩🇯🇺🇸

L’Ambassade des États-Unis à Djibouti a eu le plaisir d’accueillir le Lieutenant Abrar, commandant de la Division des enquêtes criminelles de la Gendarmerie nationale djiboutienne, à son retour du programme International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), consacré au thème « Faire progresser l’innovation et les politiques en matière de cybersécurité ».
À son retour, le Lieutenant Abrar a rencontré la Chargée d’affaires Sarah Padula, l’Attachée juridique du FBI, Shawna Scheidel, le Responsable régional de la sécurité, Cairo Moorman, ainsi que le Responsable des affaires publiques, Daniel DeGroff, afin de partager les enseignements tirés de son échange.
Au cours de ce programme de deux semaines, il a échangé avec des responsables américains des forces de l’ordre, des représentants d’agences gouvernementales, d’universités et du secteur privé afin d’explorer les meilleures pratiques en matière de cybersécurité, d’enquêtes sur la cybercriminalité, d’innovation et de coopération internationale. Cette expérience lui a également permis de développer un réseau mondial de professionnels engagés dans le renforcement de la cybersécurité et la lutte contre les cybermenaces transnationales.
Bon retour, Lieutenant Abrar ! Nous nous réjouissons de voir l’impact de cette expérience contribuer au renforcement de la coopération entre Djibouti et les États-Unis dans le domaine de la cybersécurité.

The U.S. Embassy in Djibouti was pleased to welcome Lt. Abrar, Commander of the Criminal Investigation Division of the Djibouti National Gendarmerie, following his participation in the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) on "Advancing Cybersecurity Innovation and Policy."
Upon his return, Lt. Abrar met with Chargé d'Affaires Sarah Padula, FBI Legal Attaché Shawna Scheidel, Regional Security Officer Cairo Moorman, and Public Affairs Officer Daniel DeGroff to share insights from his exchange. During the two-week program, he engaged with U.S. law enforcement officials, government agencies, universities, and private-sector experts to explore best practices in cybersecurity, cybercrime investigations, innovation, and international cooperation. The experience also allowed him to build a global network of professionals committed to strengthening cybersecurity and combating transnational cyber threats.
Welcome home, Lt. Abrar! We look forward to seeing the impact of your experience in strengthening cybersecurity cooperation between Djibouti and the United States.

In coordination with U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, U.S. Department of State will revoke U.S. passports of those who owe significant child support debt. Anyone owing child support debt should arrange payment now with the relevant state child support enforcement agency to prevent passport revocation. If outside the U.S. when their passport is revoked, individuals with significant debt will be eligible ONLY for a limited validity passport for direct return to the United States. In his latest The Wall Street Journal op-ed, Secretary of State Marco Rubio lays out the strategic foundation for our actions against the ICC. The United States will never outsource our justice system to an unaccountable global tribunal. A must-read on why American sovereignty remains absolute.

America never agreed to a world tribunal that can override our own courts and the Constitution.

L’Ambassade des États-Unis à Djibouti félicite l’Inspecteur Souleiman Abdi Hachi, Inspecteur national d’anglais au ministère de l’Éducation nationale et de la Formation professionnelle, pour sa participation au programme d’échange « English for Specific Purposes » (ESP) du Département d’État des États-Unis, consacré au secteur mondial du tourisme.
Du 6 au 20 juillet 2026, l’Inspecteur Souleiman a participé à des activités de perfectionnement professionnel à Boston et à Washington, D.C., aux côtés de spécialistes de l’enseignement de l’anglais venus du monde entier. Ensemble, ils ont exploré des approches innovantes en matière d’enseignement de l’anglais, de tourisme et de développement des compétences professionnelles.
L’Ambassade félicite l’Inspecteur Souleiman pour la réussite de ce programme et se réjouit des connaissances, des compétences et de l’expérience qu’il a acquises, qui contribueront à renforcer l’enseignement de la langue anglaise à Djibouti.

From July 6–20, 2026, Inspector Souleiman participated in professional development activities in Boston and Washington, D.C., alongside English language professionals from around the world, exploring innovative approaches to English language teaching, tourism, and workforce development.
The Embassy congratulates Inspector Souleiman on the successful completion of the program and looks forward to the knowledge, skills, and experiences he has brought back to help strengthen English language education in Djibouti.
