SES Family : Digital støtte til familier, når brud og konflikter fylder
Kære medarbejder

SES Family er en del af vores tilbud til skilte og sammenbragte familier. Tilbuddet er digitalt, anonymt
og gratis for borgerne. Det kan være en hjælp, når du møder børn og forældre, hvor brud, konflikter eller
samarbejdsvanskeligheder påvirker hverdagen.

Hvornår kan du med fordel nævne SES Family?
Du kan fx nævne tilbuddet når:
• et barn virker uroligt, trist eller belastet af skift mellem hjem
• et barn fortæller, at mor og far skændes meget, eller at der ofte er konflikter derhjemme
• der er behov for støtte til at skabe mere ro og forudsigelighed omkring barnet

Hvad får familien ud af det?
Familien får, gennem korte øvelser og videoer, nye indsigter, handlemuligheder samt et fælles sprog for følelser
og behov, der gør det lettere at tale sammen.

Hvad kan det give dig?
Du får et konkret sted at henvise til, når du ser, at barnet eller familien har brug for støtte. Du behøver ikke
vejlede familien, men kan for eksempel sige:
“Som borger i vores kommune, har I gratis og anonym adgang til digital støtte på sesfamily.com. Her kan I få
værktøjer og viden om almindelige reaktioner hos børn, når brud og konflikter fylder. Jeg tror, at det kan være en hjælp for [barnets navn] i hverdagen.”

Vi søger en gæstfri og kærlig værtsfamilie på Lolland, som har lyst til at byde 21-årige Rionach fra Japan velkommen fra den 10. august. Hun skal være frivillig på Lolland International School og glæder sig helt utroligt til at blive en del af det lokale fællesskab og lære den danske kultur at kende! 🇩🇰
Rionach læser historie og pædagogik , og så er hun en sand humørspreder, der elsker musik og har masser af erfaring med børn fra sin egen lillebror.

This August, two young international volunteers will arrive in Denmark to become part of the LIS community — and we are still looking for one special host family for Rionach from Japan.

Rionach is 21 years old and will be volunteering at LIS every day from August to January. For six months, Denmark will be her home away from home. Attached is an brief indroduction from Rionach.

Hosting is much more than offering a spare room. It is sharing everyday life:
🍽 family dinners
🚲 small Danish traditions
🎄 holidays and celebrations
😂 conversations, routines, and memories

Many host families say they gain just as much as the volunteer does — new perspectives, cultural exchange, friendships, and a truly unique experience for their children.

You do not need to be a “perfect” family. You simply need:
✔ a spare room
✔ live on Lolland or in NykF
✔ warmth and openness
✔ a willingness to include a young person in everyday family life

🛸 HELP TURN MARIBO INTO DENMARK’S UFO CAPITAL 🛸

The second annual will take place on 12 September at Maribo Hallerne — and the organisers want the whole community involved.

Last year, almost 200 people attended from across Denmark, and this year the event is expected to grow even bigger, especially with renewed international interest in UFOs and a new UFO-themed film from Steven Spielberg expected to spark attention.

Alongside the conference featuring leading Danish and Swedish researchers, there will also be:
👽 Exhibitions
👽 Family activities
👽 Creative workshops for children
👽 UFO-themed displays and art

Local artists, makers, schools, institutions, and creative people are invited to contribute:
🛸 UFO-themed artwork and displays
🛸 Flying saucer models for the town centre
🛸 Installations made from fabric, papier-mâché, wood, foam, cardboard, paper, and more

Participants exhibiting at the event will receive a free table space and may also receive complimentary tickets.

The organisers hope to transform central Maribo into a fun UFO zone and create something truly unique for the town.

🎨 CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS – FOLKEMØDET MARIBO CRAFT DAYS 2026 🎨

The team behind is currently preparing the online programme, which will be published around 1 June 2026 — and there is still room for more exhibitors, creators, organisations, and partners to join.

This year, the organisers are especially excited to see more participants from West Lolland getting involved with a wide variety of activities, workshops, talks, and exhibitions.

Planned guests and activities already include:

✨ Embroidery with Rikke Mia Skovdal
✨ HC Tømrer’s pep talk for young people
✨ Millimeter Mette’s button workshop
✨ And more names currently being confirmed

Our amazing Grade 2 students from Lolland International School took learning into the wild—helping release endangered green variegated toads near the Fehmarnbelt construction site. Real hands-on learning, real impact.

We’re incredibly proud of our students for showing such care, curiosity, and responsibility for nature 🌱
