We honor and stand on the shoulders of preceding and current struggles against racism and oppression in all their manifestations, including the struggles against the racist Danish state’s “ghetto laws”, and its violent and imperialist bordering regime.

Film: *Fedayin: Georges Abdallah’s Fight*

Come join us for our next event "Political Prisoners and the Palestinian Struggle" hosted in collaboration with Antiimperialistisk Aktion.

We will be screening *Fedayin: Georges Abdallah’s Fight*, a documentary that explores the life of political prisoner Georges Abdallah. After the film, Antiimperialistisk Aktion will talk about the international campaign for Georges Abdallah's freedom, and we will hold a space for discussion on the Palestinian political prisoner's movement.

Georges Abdallah, a Lebanese freedom fighter, has been imprisoned in France for the past 40 years under charges of participation in armed actions by the Lebanese Armed Revolutionary Faction for his work to fight off colonialist and Zionist invasions in Lebanon. With this event we wish to highlight the role of Palestinian political prisoners in leading the struggle for liberation. The zionist occupation has always used imprisonment to repress Palestinian resistance, and we can see this reflected in the zionist entity's escalation of mass imprisonment during the current genocidal war. We don't have to look far away to see political repression, as solidarity with Palestinian resistance is currently being criminalized in the so-called "democracies" of Europe. For this reason, it is incredibly important that we connect this repression and political imprisonment to the resistance against the zionist entity.

About the event: Medo Halimy, a 19 year-old Gazan, is one of the countless martyrs whose names and lives we must continue to remember and honor. He was killed in an airstrike by the settler colonial entity while sitting on the beach enjoying the sunset. Medo had a large following on social media where he would share about his everyday tent life in Gaza. As an act of resistance, he would plant something everyday of the genocide and update followers on his gardening efforts every day.

They say that we die twice: the first time is when we take our last breath, the second is the last time someone says our name. Pronouncing Medo as Meadow allows us to think of him every time we see a meadow and keep him with us. We invite you to join us in spreading seeds of liberation to create Meadows everywhere.

Planting seeds of liberation on campus is not only a way to commemorate Medo collectively, it is a way to cultivate and spread our liberation rooted in resistance. We have been collecting seeds for us to plant and have invited two speakers, artist Omar Al Sayed and psychotherapist Mustafa Jayyousi, to join us. Join us in honoring Medo and the countless other martyrs of Palestine and Lebanon.

All members of RUC Intifada align with these points in theory and practice.

RUC Intifada invites you to the Frantz Fanon online teach-in series. Everyone is welcome to participate.

Through a series of talks by Joshua Sabih, Dr Tarek Younis, and Joel Beinin, we will explore Fanon's ideas and their relevance for our struggle against colonialism.

Thanks to all who showed up for us to demand action from our university. This was only the beginning of our journey, we are so energised and motivated by everyone who brought so much passion and solidarity to campus this week. RUC has never looked so beautiful.

Join the Roskilde University students in protest for Palestine.

Thursday Sept 12th at 11:30am from the main entrance.

We encourage all those who want to show solidarity to join us in demanding action from our university. New students should join us without fear as it will be a peaceful protest.

As the genocide in Palestine worsens, RUC's silence has grown increasingly loud, and we must now take action against their complicity.

We will march from the main entrance to the courtyard of the building housing the rector's office (see second slide for details) with the following demands:

1. Commit to an academic boycott of all israeli institutions complicit in furthering the colonisation and destruction of Palestine, as was done with Russia and Belarus in March of 2022.

2. Commit to a lifelong economic boycott of all companies profiting from all occupation in Palestine, this includes investments and purchasing agreements.

3. Recognise and condemn the ongoing genocide committed by the zionist occupation, call for an immediate arms embargo, ceasefire, and end to the siege on Gaza and aggression in the West Bank.

No racism, queerphobia, islamophobia, anti-semitism, discrimination, or violent language to fellow protestors will be tolerated.
